This Italianate stone mansion is located at 4223 Bordeaux Avenue in the ritzy Highland Park area of Dallas, TX. Built in 2005, this charming home feature approximately 13,500 square feet of living space with 6 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, formal living and dining rooms, gourmet kitchen with breakfast room, back floating curved staircase, family room, paneled office, billiards room, media room, sunken wine cellar with tasting room, subterranean 6-car garage, covered patio with fireplace and more. It is listed at $6,995,000. I love love love the exterior and the arched windows. I love the symmetry of the facade as well. The layout is pretty good and I really like the wooden beam ceilings throughout, however I don’t like the dark wood accents.

I like it a lot. It has a really warm feel to it, sort of a cross between French and Italian. I like the stone work in the facade and the classical lines. The builder paid attention to the floors and the ceilings and did a great job with both. Whoever decorated did a good job of using French accessories without going over the top. Overall a very nice house.

I have done business with the listing realtor. I Highly recomend him for fair dealings and product knowledge. A real class act.

Eh. The exterior is nice but the interior is a little stale. Seems normal to me, very little wow.

Some of the interior rooms seem very claustrophobic, while many of the others seem underfilled…very strange. The rear elevation is genuinely ugly.

Add that to the fact it’s shoe-horned onto a too-small lot and this is a definite pass.

It’s not bad, but it doesn’t thrill me. The exterior is OK but I don’t think the front motor court is particularly attractive. The back of the house is just generally unattractive. As for the interior, I get the sense that it would look better in person than in the over exposed pictures. The living room looks entirely too cluttered, and the bookshelves should only have been on one wall, not all of them. The rest of the rooms aren’t horrible, but none of them look particularly comfortable. I think some of the spaces are interesting, but they could really use the help of a skilled decorator.

I agree with what has already been said. Some rooms have too much, some have too little. I don’t like the exterior, and if I’m going to live in Highland Park, I want one of the older mansions.

No pool. Too many bookshelves in LR and not enough cabinets in the kitchen. The beamed ceilings are ugly-esp. the foyer’s. The daybed in the master bedroom cracks me up.
