I’ve driven by this impressive house. it’s truly stunning and the finishes and build out looks top notch. I’m very surprised to see how it was decorated. I have a feeling the family over built and never hired a designer to furnish and outfit the house as it should be. I have noticed that it took a long time to build ( long- even for a large mansion) and it still has no proper entry gate. Maybe the family ran out of money or knew they were going to sell. By the way, the architect is Wilson (not Walter) Fuqua- one of Dallas’ most talented architects. he and Rick Robertson of LA had a firm together right after they graduated from UT Austin.

btw, did anyone notice the fireplace in the horribly painted living room with Rooms to Go sofas? it’s Home Depot tile slapped right onto the wall to cover up the rough opening. they definitely put the brakes on this house. Please!, some rich Dallasite buy this house and finish it up to Wilson Fuqua standards.

Eh..not feeling this. The grounds look nice, but the interior is devoid of cohesion and has some odd design choices. The light blue kitchen is off-putting, and what is the rest of the gaping home theater supposed to be for? I mean, I get that it’s probably located above the garage, but seriously?

I’m not sure what I think of the front. It’s hard to get a real sense of how it looks, but I like most of what I see. The rear facade looks nice. The interior has tons of potential, but why is it so sparse? There are some really interesting spaces and with the right decorator I think it could be beautiful.

The house had its moments. I didn’t like most of the fixtures (starting with the white chandelier in the foyer.). The bunny in the kitchen was really, really, bad. But, all in all, the windows, trim, and spaces were all very nice. I thought it had class.
Then I went to the link and saw the house was shoehorned in to the lot about fifteen city blocks from the airport. That kind of killed it for me. The pictures all looked good though.

The location, the grounds, and the exterior of the house are nice, the interior designer should be shot.

Beautiful craftsmanship. The stonework is well done and I like the detailing on the glass. Some nice woodwork as well. I thought that maybe the family had already moved out and this was just some sparse staging.

I’m really surprised how much everyone likes this house, the first few interior pictures are okay, then it starts getting worse. The cheap fixtures and fittings all look plastic and a bit like a giant film set, the crafts room looks like a self-assembled kitchen from ikea or something. The only nice thing is the pool area to be honest..

I like the foyer a lot, and the gothic arches/windows are really pretty. The sense of spaciousness is fantastic. Overall, I like this home a lot.

I think it had a good start. It definitely needs someone to come in and decorate it properly.

Gorgeous exteriors, gorgeous landscaping and pool area, nice bones. Interior decor is crap. It really does look like the owner ran out of money.

I would love to lift this house out of the area it is in and drop it in the middle of 250 acres of woods, hire a really good interior designer and start from there.

You have got to be kidding me with the home theater- putting it in a room full of windows?!
