Here is a look at some dining rooms from Houzz.com. Dining rooms can be formal or informal, in a separate room or open concept. Some of them are banquet size, while others are small and cozy. Some of them have long rectangular tables while others have circular cafe style tables. They can be rustic/traditional or sleek/modern. Whatever it may be, dining rooms are a great canvas to display your style.

I like the 2nd one, the rest are eh or not good at all.
#11 looks like they were saving on square footage cost so they turned the foyer into a dining room. Who wants to eat in their stairhall? Not I.
Funny! #11 was the only one I liked. I never thought if it your way. I took it more of a provincial type room. But now after reading your comment I can’t think of it any other way. I guess this way the mailman can stop by for a snack.
I really wasn’t a fan of any of them. The best of all was #6 and that was for the view outside and nothing else.
