The 22,000 square foot Hutton House Estate has been re-listed. Located at 2571 Wallingford Drive in Beverly Hills, CA, the grand mansion belongs to a wealthy Korean woman. It was built in 2000 and is situated on 5.2 acres of land. It was modeled after Le Petit Trianon at Versailles and features 7 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms. The estate was purchased at auction back in January of 2007 for just under $17,000,000, then finished by the new owner and flipped back on the market with a $32,000,000 price increase in February of 2009. Then it was taken off the market and put back on last August with an asking price of $45,000,000. It has now been re-listed at $39,000,000.

Well, it certainly doesn’t get any less hideous over time, or with a higher asking price.

The landscaping looks barren. The house looks out of place. The architecture is ho hum. How much did she pay for this house in the first place? There is no way this is even close to 39 mill. I think 8 tops.

I do like the stone details on the exterior but that is about it. Looks like a giant, intricate box. Interior looks like it will need to be gutted.

What you see on the first photo is actually quite nice, but then comes the rest.

    Oh boy…

The first photo’s cloud burst cracks me up…

This is absolutely disgusting. Also it looks absolutely nothing even remotely close to the Petit Trianon. Whatever university the architect went to should revoke his degree.

Your implicit assumption there is that the architect actually went to a university. I have doubts about whether he/she did.

Any idea what this thing is really worth?

First photo is definitely misleading. The rear facade is Walmart-plain, and the foyer does absolutely nothing for me. And why does anyone need that many identical windows beside each other; mix it up a little…

You’d think they could have thrown down a few area rugs and planted a few flowers outside. Yet another white elephant…

But there is a purse on the foyer table in photo#3.

How could one seriously refer to this pile as being modeled after the Petit Trianon? It looks like a big box retail store with a silly out of scale mansard roof plopped on top. The site is indeed barren and devoid of any redeeming qualities. Who actually aspires to own an eyesore like this? Where do people get their taste and aesthetics from? What a waste of money.

If you want a classic and elegant version of the Petit Trianon, look no further than the 1913 landmark quality mansion built in Greenwich Ct. Located at 408 North Street, the Connecticut mansion has all the cool elegance, classical details, carved stonework and magnificent panelled walls that displays irreplaceble craftsmanship and materials surely lacking in the overinflated, big box-on-steroids California version. Shocking how far todays architecture and design world has sunk since the Connecticut home was built in 1913?

that home is beautiful! doesn’t hurt that it has the landscaping to go with it, unlike the eyesore at the top of this page.

could benefit from an attached garage though. and is that an old foundation in the top right of the lot or a grass tennis court in addition to the hard/clay court in the front yard?!

The home in the first photo is gorgeous. I like that. Then come the rest. It looks awful. And they want 40 million for it? Waste of time and money.
