One day I will find a house in Russia that I find pleasing. Today ain’t that day.

As with many upcoming nations, Russia has an issue with architectural services. This will of course change some day. And it is Rublevo-Uspenskoe, or just Rublevka for short. There are many ways of spelling the last part of the highway, but the agents I’ve been in contact with in Russia all say Uspenskoe is correct.

Like all russian mansions, its decadent and over the top inside. It works for me.

It’s exactly what I expect when I see a headline containing the words “mansion in Russia”. There doesn’t appear to be a comfortable chair in the whole house.

$22 million for something covered in mini-split condensers

22 million for this pile of crap? What am I missing? This would be an ugly substandard house in almost any upper middle class neighborhood in the US, and the price would be 750,00 to 1.5 mil. tops. How could someone who has that kind of money be so misinformed. Can’t they take a trip to London or Greenwich or Paris? This architect is hardly a professional and is a scam artist. He should be sent to the Gulag for reeducation.
