The interior could do with a redo but the exterior looks awesome! not familiar with the location as i live 12,000 miles away on some uninhabited island called Australia so don’t know if it’s a good one.

Hobe Sound is a fine address and this waterfront home is one of teh better ones featured. Nicely understated interiors with a fantastic pool, very good landscaping and large guest house. Definitely worth the asking price.

The house is 20,931 sq ft, the official record on the house is 14,219 sq ft. The foundation is”slab” so there is no basement. Where does the extra 7,712 sq ft come from. More than that why is there no standard rule on the matter so buyers don’t get coned by a lying real estate sales person.

I thought the same after I posted, but I don’t think the guest house is that large.

Hobe Sound/Jupiter Island is way too sleepy for me. The home itself is dated and since it was built in the nondescript, contemporary/traditional mid-1990s style that is so distinct, it will be hard to remodel it without making it look obvious. Looks like they tried with the kitchen and failed. If it were me, I’d make it look more contemporary than the traditional style they have it now.

The grounds look very pretty. Interior is quite dated throughout and the foyer looks waaay too much like a mid-range hotel lobby, furniture and all.

On another note, why is this swath of Florida not available on birds eye view? It’s not like it’s the middle of nowhere…

Jupiter Island is a notoriously private town, more so than Palm Beach. I wouldn’t be surprised if they requested that they be omitted from the B.E.V.

Hopefully this doesn’t sound overly naive, but do they actually have the right to request that?

That I’m not sure of. Obviously since they don’t own the airspace above the town (or do they?), you would think B.E.V. would be a no-brainer. But I remember something a few years back that they requested to be omitted from the aerial photography (or something to that extent). With the money that the town’s residents have and the strings they can pull, it isn’t a surprise that it’s omitted. Remember, this is a town that FORBIDS leaf-blowers any time, any day of the week…

Wow…I didn’t know it was THAT kind of place. I guess it shouldn’t surprise me that they don’t have BEV then.
