I love it as a nice retreat to get away from it all, wouldn’t want it for a main residence though.

I completely love the house itself, although I sure wish those garages were sited differently away from the front entrance. The furnishings are abominable and need to sacrificed to the god of tasteful decor, but the interior itself is great.

Kenny: Your link to the listing is not a link, just FYI.

This house has been on the market for quite a while, hasn’t it? I know I have some of these photos saved in my desiderata folders. That said, it is gorgeous, but probably too big for me to live in comfortably (it’s all the cathedral ceilings, not the sq. footage). That master bedroom is way too big. I’d probably sleep in the guest BR.

Really? I like the spaciousness of the master bedroom. The bulky furniture and beamed ceilings help to make it feel cozier.

I felt like a heretic for even maklng that comment. lol It’s the cathedral ceiling that does it – the piece with the curtains between the bed and the windows does much to create a false ceiling effect, but … Yeah, it’s just my preference. Different strokes and all. 🙂

The furnishings are awful. Don’t understand the fancy chandeliers with the rustic theme. The pier is ugly-guess it looks better with a boat. You would think that there would be a photo with a boat-some eyecandy for a potential buyer.

Looks like a stage set to me. Something about Tahoe always strikes me as faux mountain resort. This house fits the bill. I like it but it looks staged somehow and not natural.

Pretty exterior, but I hate the interior. The faux finishes are revolting, and the whole place just looks uncomfortable.
