It’s very nice but honestly, I don’t think it really matches her personality.

I agree. This sort of house screams Britney Spears rather than Celine Dion HAHA

Very lavish. I think the home reflects more her senior husband Rene rather than Celine. I agree with Daniel G.

Wow, I really like this house, there are some aspects of the interior that I just love, all of the reception rooms are beautiful and elegant. The bedroom looks like something you would expect to see in a five-star hotel. Don’t like the modern looking cinema room, its not in-keeping with the rest of the house, and the wine-tasting room is a bit too castle like. Other than that its picture-perfect!
(Also I don’t get why there’s a bath placed at the top of the stairs?!?! Does not look right at all)

I think those stairs are coming from the master bedroom, because of you look down the hallway it looks like the master bedroom closet

I agree, I had the initial reaction Sam had, but I’m pretty sure it’s just overlooking the master. Kind of a strange design, but then again it is unique, I can’t recall ever seeing anything like that.

if you watch the video of the home you will find that there is a double height sitting room in the master bedroom and from there, there are stairs going up to the bathroom and master closet 😀 id say the master bedroom is around 2,000 sq.ft.

That is Celine’s Bathroom that over looks Her Sitting Room. This home has connected His and Her Master Suites. Each suite has its own bedroom, bath, dressing room, and walk-in closets. I guess Celine and René both like having their own space.

Well there are some things I like and some other things I don’t like. The foyer design is interesting, and I actually kind of like it. I wouldn’t have carpeted that area though, I just imagine tracking a lot of dirt and mud into the foyer with it carpeted. It does create a neat little sitting area right there in the foyer though. The formal rooms are all a little on the boring side for me…high quality, but not particularly imaginative. I like the office and library, and the wine cellar/tasting room is totally over the top in a good way. The master bath, as I said above, is a little strange and I’m not sure I go for it.

Outside I’m not crazy about. The pitch of the roof is really steep and goes up way too far to my eye. Otherwise it’s not very exciting, and comes across looking very cold and austere. Like I said, goods and bads.

Well, if you look at her former home in Jupiter’s Admirals Cove then this doesn’t seem like such a stretch.

The exterior of this is truly very cold. The extreme mansard roof is hideous. The interior has some very nice bits with some very mediocre bits. The kitchen looks pretty amazing. Price is laughable.

It’s a lovely house, but I don’t understand why there are only 3 full bathrooms in this 24,000-sq.-ft. mansion! Are the occupants of the 5 other bedrooms to share the other 2 full baths?

I wondered about that as well.

I think that is a misprint. Other real estate sites list 6 full and 3 half baths.

I like how it looks cold and uninviting on the outside but very warm and homey on the inside 😀 the kitchen is fabulous and the 2 story master suite is WOW i like how the kids bedrooms are contemporary looking it makes it look like the kids aren’t living in a cold castle but in a modern home…the staircase is huge!!! and don’t forget the wine tasting room!!! WOW i love this home 😀

A really well designed home with stunning interior finishes and woodwork. I also could get accustomed to living on my own private island. Superb kithen and expansive master suite even with the tub located on the balcony, I lke it.

This is quite likely the most nauseatingly overdone, ridiculously and USELESSLY GARGANTUAN MESS OF A MESS I’ve EVER seen on this site. Sorry, but I LITERALLY cannot even begin to comprehend the INCOMPREHENSIBLY GIGA-SIZED EGO and SUPER HUMAN BRAGGADOCIO that would actually feel comfortable in this French Normand AIRPORT. Grandiose, overdone and faux elegant on a scale that even I don’t have the words for.

      Barney,
I can’t believe that you think a mere five dining rooms is excessive. And they don’t even have an indoor pool, conservatory or ballroom, and not much evidence of a library.

I actually like the exterior of the mansion, its very dignified. The foyer is to die for, and that staircase is AMAZING. So is the kitchen. When I think of mega mansions, I imagine a kitchen like that. Overall its not too bad, not the worst home I’ve seen here, but not the prettiest either.

Not a big fan of the architecture. I like french but the massive roof pitch makes it look a little disprorportionate in my opinion. Still nice just not perfect. The interior on the other hand, thats perfect. Absolutely love everything about the design.

Hmmm interesting home! The exterior is pretty nice, but the roof and some other elements are a little odd. I like the layout/appearance from the aerial. Very cool. I don’t know much about Montreal, but it seems like it’s in a pretty neat location and being on her own island is very special.

The interior is very very nice. It’s not really my style, but it’s all very high class. It definitely has a hint of “elderly” in there. I can’t quite describe it, but I think a few of the other commentors noticed it too. Maybe it’s just 2001 dated, though. A minor refresh might be necessary. I’m not really fond of the cellar or some of the more modern looking areas like the family room and the room with the black ceiling. I don’t see a mention of a garage, but the aerials show at least a 3-bay garage on one side. Meh.

The foyer is probably my favorite part and the master suite sounds pretty cool, although I’m not sure I would want seperate suites. This home is overall outstanding and memorable, but not particularly inspirational.
