Hooray! Let me start off by saying I *LOVE* Le Lac. Honestly nothing like it in South Florida. Not only is it still relatively close to the beach, but it actually is one of the least pretentious communities around. For anyone who doesn’t live in the area, Le Lac is one of the most prestigious non-waterfront communities in S. Florida. Only about 32 homes each on a minimum of 2 acres. I’ve driven around the community a couple times and the atmosphere is unlike anything else in the area. Huge trees (banyans, oaks) line the streets. The path around the big lake is fantastic. Each home is different from the other, and it probably offers the most diverse selection of architecture in one community (Mediterranean, Tuscan, Ranch, Contemporary, Tudor, Pueblo, Wrightian, British Colonial). But the main feature of this community is the privacy:

Driving past the single road to this community, you would never know it even existed. Perhaps because it is a community that doesn’t have an enormous fountain and palms lining the entrance is why I like it even more.

As for this home, I love the exterior. The nine acres now includes the parcel of land south of the lake . Perfect to build a detached car museum. The home was designed by Randall Stofft, and really does have superb exterior finishing. The interior if I recall (this home was for sale several years ago) was very contemporary. Think a lot of white marble with white walls and stark black details. I’m curious to see if the same scheme has been kept.

Now comes for my criticism. I love the community, I love the house itself. I just don’t like the lot itself. Honestly, if you’re going to live in Le Lac, you really need to be on one of the 3 big lakes. This home and one other have their own private lakes, but it isn’t the same. I probably could get over that fact and I admit it would to cool to say I have my own lake, but still….

As for price, I think it is pretty fair given the size and quality of the home. 9 acres in Boca is unheard of (unless you live in this community or somewhere out west where only the mosquitoes can hear you cry) and the community can carry the price. I’m checking Premier’s website daily for the updated pics!

It’s a nice looking house, and the grounds look beautiful. But, it doesn’t look so different from anything else in the area. I do appreciate that it’s not shoehorned onto a too-small lot next to an almost identical house. And, going on what Daniel wrote I’m sure that the feel of the house and area are very different from ground level. But still, looking at the aerial shots it’s nice but nothing unique. I will add that while the area it’s in look beautiful, if I were to live on the east side of Florida, I wouldn’t live west of I-95.

A very fine estate but there are two even larger ones on the larger lake in the same development. I would have to assume that they would go for $20M or more, were they to hit the market. Someone could probably do a decent architectural book on this development and I’m willing to place an advance order.

Not much more to add from Daniels post. Beautiful exterior and outbuildings and a magnificent pool. A true estate sized property. You definitely get more for your money away from the beach plus it still is Boca so the area speaks for itself. Wouldn’t mind living there at all
