Out of these 4 grand gated entrances, which one is YOUR favorite?

Gated Entrance #1 – This gated entrance belongs to the Le Belvedere estate located at 630 Nimes Road in Bel Air, CA.

Gated Entrance #2 – This gated entrance belongs to the famous “The Manor” estate located at 594 S Mapleton Drive in Holmby Hills, CA.

Gated Entrance #3 – This gated entrance belongs to the Fleur de Lys estate located at 350 North Carolwood Drive in Los Angeles, CA.

Gated Entrance #4 – This gated entrance belongs to the Stone Mansion estate located at 1 Frick Drive in Alpine, NJ

* I just switched pic #2 to The Manor’s main gate, instead of the service gate. That way it would be equal with the others.

I like #3 because the home is completely hidden. When you see too much of the home from the gate (stone Mansion) it just looks creepy to me…like the house is staring into my soul……I’ll shut up now.

I like #1, it’s good to get a glimpse of what lies behind the security gates but still gives an element of privacy. i dont like the see through stone mansion one and i dont like the fleur de lys one either as its a bit cramped, i agree the manor’s one is too open.

I know, but I like how you can see the home from here 🙂

Def #3, Love the privacy. And it looks the safest.

They’re all quite beautiful, but the first one suffers from a bad photograph.

Yeah I was going to say, the gate for “The Manor” isn’t the main entrance gate so it doesn’t look as impressive. I would say number 3 if the gates were a little bit wider, I love wrought iron gates too, number one and four appeal to me I just wish the houses were a little more set back.

I too love #3 out of the ones above, but my all-time favorite might be La Follia: http://g.co/maps/f9rhg or the former Kimmel residence because it reminds me of Jurassic Park: http://g.co/maps/7b62m

Actually, 343 El Bravo may be the prettiest – the white orchids on the mature trees look particularly stunning: http://g.co/maps/2q6my

A pattern of sorts for me 😉 ?

I’m gonna say #4 with #3’s gate. #3’s flower pots on top make it look like the entrance to a cemetery. #2 is plain, but I understand that’s just the service entry. Gun to my head, I’ll vote for #4.

    Fleur de Lys.

Kenny, did you sell the Stone Mansion? It disappeared from the front page!:-D

Why would you pick the service entry of the Manor? That is not the main guest entrance.

Definitely number 3 for me because it has the element of surprise. As soon as the gate is open you see a breathtaking fountain which is not expected.

Whoa! That is a work of art!! It certainly sets the mood for something royal! I hope there is a gigantic palace behind such an entrance or I’m going to be disappointed!

To my south Florida crowd: http://maps.google.com/?ll=26.666455,-80.037733&spn=0.004118,0.008256&t=h&layer=c&cbll=26.666455,-80.037733&panoid=iNLoZKWTu4X979YpBgHfDg&cbp=12,102.83,,0,0&z=18

I’ve always loved La Reverie’s entrance. The wrought-iron french gate, the island-like landscaping, the space to pull your car off the road (without stopping traffic) and the front wall with palm trees for maximum privacy.

None of these do anything for me. I prefer something like the gates to The Breakers: http://leftquark.smugmug.com/Family/Vacation/Newport-Weekend-2010-07-18/DSC9599hdr06/958321239_2dxuf-L.jpg

Fleur Dy Lys is definitely the best gate, only thing i dislike is that the driveway is so narrow and the gates are narrow, The Manor has a much wider gate and driveway except the Manor’s gate isn’t as intricately designed as Fleur Dy Lys, The Manor does have another gate though, a back gate that looks even bigger than theh main front gate but as far as over all detail and style the Fleur Dy Lys gate is hands down the best ever

HEY KENNY, you said that Fleur Dy Lys is located at 1801 Angelo Drive, you know that’s not right, David Geffen lives or at one point lived at 1801 Angelo Drive, everyone knows Fleur Dy lys is at 350 North Carollwood Drive

1: I’d like to see this front-on. There’s something not quite right about it.
2: I like this one. It’s simple, clean and doesn’t give too much away to suspecting eyes.
3: Way too narrow to drive anything through it in a relaxing way.
4: Love the gate, but the imposing view of the house close by negates any form of privacy that large gates can offer.
