This newly built Mediterranean style mega mansion is located on Rancho Street in Encino, CA and is easily the biggest home in the area. It boasts a swimming pool, tennis court and what looks to be a man-made lake. If anybody has any more information on this monstrosity, please let us know!

The address is 4750 Louise Ave, Encino, CA. According to Zillow, the home is nearly 26,500 square feet.

What is that blue kidney-shaped space adjacent to the tennis court — a water feature of some kind?

It looks like a sand bottom faux beach. It even has a small rowboat-pic 5.

I don’t live on the West Coast but isn’t Encino considered the armpit of Beverly Hills? The home itself looks impressive.

The layout is weird. If it has a Louise Street address-you enter and drive along the whole side of the property through the back yard to park at the tiny front entrance.

I can’t tell… can you also enter/exit on Rancho street? Either way, it is pretty odd. Good call!

Just like Celine Dion’s place, I don’t understand the point of multiple pools. It makes sense if your home has very cold winters, rendering the outdoor pool useless half of the year, so you have an indoor one as well. Same with the lagoon + lap pool places like Tiger Woods’ home. You can’t swim laps in the gigantic lagoon??

At the end of the day, everyone’s going to have their own tastes and preferences of features but I would assume an ideal estate makes best functional use by offering a diverse amount of features whenever possible. ESPECIALLY if the owners plan on ever putting it on the market down the road. Gardens, fruit trees, a putting green, hell- even a mechanical bull area seem to make more sense than duplicate pools.

The front exterior looks interesting. It’s not your typical Mediterranean mansion as far as I can tell. The skylight on top surely offers some great sunlight inside! Unless I’m wrong and it’s a solar panel… Despite being a massive home, I like how it achieves a relatively small footprint and still looks compact.

I agree that this lagoon/pond seems forced. When executed correctly especially on a large countryside estate, a pond can be a neat feature. That said, it’s better than a big open spot of grass. I’m glad they utilized the space with something fun.

I’d like to see some interior pics! 🙂

Sighhhhhhhh…….the pool looks good as does the pond, which looks like a lot of fun to me. But as far as the house goes from the exterior, it’s just another obscenely, uselessly and ridiculously monstrous mcmansion. As far as I’m concerned any house that you only utilize completely MAYBE once a year is by definition extremely unappealing overkill for rampant greed and ego’s sake. And that goes for EVEN my personal favorite, an impeccably done, drop-dead-gorgeous, sexy and stunning mid-century/contemporary home.

Which one is that mid-century contemporary home?

Wasn’t referring to a specific, existing home Jane. I was just making a big generalization/stating an example to show how much I hate greed & mateiralism run completely amock. Know what I mean??

what a hideous piece of trash. Very unlike the Kim Kardashian wedding venue house (why was that comment deleted), which it should have taken a clue from. Awfully big tennis court in a weird layout with the pool. Yucky yuckiness mcyuck.

I think that Kim K. comment was on a different house.

That doesn’t look like a man-made lake, it looks like a second swimming pool which seems odd, i’d have to see more pics including front exterior and interior pics to get a better idea of how this home actually looks but the aerial pics of the grounds look a hot mess

It is a man made lake, I’ve been to this house, and there is a small house next to it that they call the ‘lake house’
As far as that comment about multiple outdoor pools, they do have another pool indoors for when the outside ones are too cold during the winter. That bluish thing in the middle of the top of the house is actually a glass retractable roof over the indoor pool.

I drove by this house the other day and my jaw dropped. It’s insanity in real life. I looked on my google maps to see what it looks like on satellite & to find out who lives there, so I dropped a pin on it, then searched for the address on google.
Okay, so here’s why I’m leaving a message..who lives here, & what do these people who own it do? That is always what my question is…what does the person do for a living…anyone know?

Okay everyone, wanna know who used to live here?

    JOHN WAYNE.
In 1951. He then moved lower down because he had lung cancer. Also because of the air quality.

John Wayne apparently lived on that property, but the massive house was only built in 2009. If you look on some satellite maps, you can see the lot under construction.

I live 3 blocks away – The house is 10x the size of anything else in that neighborhood. From one of the two gates, you could throw a baseball and hit the CVS shopping plaza, so this place is right out in the midst of everything. Pretty unusual for a place like this, that is more scaled for north of Sunset in Beverly Hills or up in Bel Air. No idea if anyone lives there yet, or if it was a giant spec house started before the crash and finished with no buyer.

Not the most tasteful or scaled house, but I wouldn’t say no to a tour…

I also heard the owners of Vallarta live here, I say owners because it isabout 5 brothers that run the stores, if not Vallarta, then super king. But the house is seriously overwhelming to see. If Mexicans really own this house, it screams “drug cartel” at me. (I’m mexican)

I wasn’t really supposed to tell anyone about this but the belongs to kevin Costner. i talked to the security guards at one the entrance gates one night and he ended up telling us but told us not to. i couldn’t tell if he was lying though. he sounded serious it didn’t sound that jokey.

One of the largest houses I have ever seen. I heard shaq owned the house but I have no confirmation.
Was there 3 weeks ago and there were no security guards at either gate.
So do not think it is Kevin Costners house.
The house is too large. I love it.
Wish I could take a walk inside.

Interesting to take note that former late 60s, early 70s, teen heartthrob Bobby Sherman lives in a very “understated” residence a few doors down at 4724 Louise.
