Rusty railings, dated decor, garden ornaments from the discount shop? At 39’500 a month, no thanks.

This is like the H&M version of Lynda Resnick’s Sunset House.

For being built in 1990, it looks older than its years, and not in a good way. There’s an attractive patina of age, and then there’s just old-looking; this falls into that latter category. The outside isn’t completely awful, but from some angles the proportions look off in some way.

As for the interior, it’s just plain off altogether. The library could be nice, and the dome in the foyer is interesting. The rest needs to go.

With the tennis court in back and the motor court in front, there’s very little outdoor space, unless you want to sit in a car or play tennis.

LOL! I was just about to say how this really does look nothing like the Petit Trianon. And to mention the Resnick estate! Good that Andrew and Danny did it on time.

Too bad Kenny never covered the Sunset House.

What a terribly stiff house. Inside probably smells like a combo of baby powder and cough drops.

What does this 1990 Petit Trianon smell like? Depends.

The kitchen is just terrible, and most of the rooms aren’t much better.

I wonder where the door under the basketball hoop goes?

I like the idea of a petite pink palace. The house looks livable and cozy in scale. For the area and size and amenities the price sounds reasonable not that I could afford it, but I live in nyc so my numbers might be skewed. I like all the french windows (which were popular in the eighties) and the simple symmetry of the house.

For 40K/mth, I would take it, as long as it comes with a couple or three live-in resident call girls.

This is not aging gracefully at all. I’d rather rent someplace half this size with nicer furnishings and fresher decor.

    News Headline:

“12 yr old girl designs all-pink party palace for Paris Hilton!”

Seriously though… who is this supposed to appeal to? And don’t say middle aged women with pink poodles because even they could see that this is crap. I say it’s darn close to a tear down.

The office/library is nice, but not mind blowing. The kitchen is nice… for a 200K house in middle America. Like Grrrowler said, the dome is at least interesting – if it weren’t covered in pink.

This might be a fun house to completely wreck with a paintball war. I suppose that might be worth 40K a month…
