I’d like the facade if the roof didn’t have that gable thing in the middle. Inside is nice…I think. But why is the bed crunched in the corner?

The home looks to be sited well, and I actually really like the exterior, front and rear. The grounds are nice as well.

Unfortunately, the interior is completely uninspired. I honestly couldn’t find a single space inside that didn’t bore me to death. Definitely needs some pizzazz, and I think the kitchen would be a good place to start. The good news is that the exterior is great as-is.

If I had to live in Houston, this is the neighborhood I’d choose. The house is pretty from the outside, other than the top floor dormers on the back; they’re way out of proportion. The interior has potential, but definitely needs a makeover.

Being a Houstonian, this home is stunning and has it all, except an inspired interior. If the interior is given its full potential, this could be an exceptional and amazing River Oaks Home. Well worth the price given its location and potential.

A boring, uninspired home built in 1994 that is showing its age. This will need significant upgrades to bring up to 2012 standards in design and execution. It’s nice and I’m sure just about everyone can be comfortable here, but as it stands I would not be willing to spend 14 Million on this home.

I love, love the exterior and pool area. The kitchen does not fit into this house at all and the master bedroom is a diaster-check out the wall mounted TV. The window treatments are too heavy and dominate the rooms. The wood paneling is gorgeous.

Throw the rugs and carpet away and you have a decent home. Photo of front is borderline creepy…I can just see some little ghost peeking through one of the curtains.

I attended a fundraiser at this house years ago, right after the current (then-new) owners moved in and remodeled it. It is actually a pretty incredible house in person. High ceilings and the staircase when you first enter is un-freaking-believable. The place is classy and not as tacky as many “french” homes are (except maybe those loud drapes).

Probably my favorite thing which isn’t mentioned, is off the master bedroom suite, there’s a porch with a private (although small) infinity pool surrounded by hedges for maximum privacy. If I had a dream home, that would be awesome to have.

The place isn’t perfect though. The bathrooms desperately need to be updated (boring as hell), and many of the rooms are showing their “1994” age.

Props to Kenny for shining spotlight on one of my favorite houses in Houston.
