The building of one of Australia’s largest homes is set to resume. The 30,000+ square foot mega mansion is located at 357 Knightsbridge Parade East in The Sovereign Islands in Queensland, Australia. The four-block site was bought for a Queensland record price of $9.44 million in 2005 and work started on the house in 2008. The owners, Scott Tyne and Clare Marks, halted construction of the home in September of last year and told AL Builders to wait until they had secured further funds. The gargantuan home, which will reportedly cost a whopping $30-$40 million to build when all is said and done, will boast 5 bedrooms, a guest wing, 2-story library, gym, steam room, spa, plunge pool, 2 offices, indoor garden, home theater, two offices, wine cellar, massive subterranean garage, 98′ long swimming pool and more.
