This is the vacation home of Dick DeVos and his wife Betsy DeVos. Dick’s father is Amway co-founder Richard DeVos. The lakefront home is located at 1025 South Shore Drive in Holland, MI and situated on 4 acres on Lake Macatawa. Dick bought bought the property from his father in 2009. The old property boasted a 12,000 square foot home and a 1,100 square foot guest house. Dick and his wife tore down that down and built a 21,885 square foot Victorian mansion that boasts 3 bedrooms, 5 full and 5 half bathrooms and 3 kitchens. There is also a 6,212 square foot guest house and 708 square foot pool house. The land is valued at $3.64 million alone.

Love it! This is a really great home.
If you like this one, you should see their main home. The main home is in Ada, MI at the end of Hillsboro Ave SE. Great entertainment facility also.
that house is funky, would love to see more pictures though!
Yuck. Looks like a shingle-style home that turned into a tumor. The DeVos’ also own a home in Manalapan, FL. It is located at 1720 S. Ocean Blvd.
Going off Daniel’s comments, the house does look rather lumpy. I don’t like it. There’s no grace or charm that a true Victorian shingle house should have. It’s just massive and overwhelming.
I have to agree with Grrrowler. Although of some interest, it does lack the grace and charm exhibited by original Victorians, even those of massive size. There are a few contemporary architects who can pull off this design, but unfortunately, this one is ultimately pastiche, not a unified design.
