This 2-acre European inspired oceanfront gated estate is located at 969 S Ocean Boulevard in Delray Beach, FL and boasts 150 feet of ocean frontage. It was built in 2001 and offers 11,469 square feet of living space with 6 bedrooms, 7 full and 3 half bathrooms, cherry paneled library, tiled vaulted loggia, summer swimming pool and a courtyard winter swimming pool, entertainment pavilion, outdoor kitchen, 4-car garage and much more. It is listed at $19,500,000. I love the idea of having two swimming pools for different seasons and I must say, the interior is impeccable. I’d much rather have this home over THIS same priced estate not too far away.

This home has been on and off the market for years now. I think this is the third or fourth brokerage that has had the [dis]pleasure of having the listing.

The home itself is nice, but I think one of the biggest reasons the home hasn’t sold is because of the unconventional layout. The western swimming pool and the odd entryway are just that…odd. I think if you had a more traditional front entrance, this home would have sold years ago. The price is a bit high; I’d offer 25% less than the asking price. I do love the interior though.

I also like the idea of having two swimming pools, one for morning use and one for afternoon use. The house itself is lovely, and the interior is a nice balance of formal and comfortable. However, I think I’d take the other Delray house you linked to, kenny, over this one, even though the interior of that one needs a little more detailing.

    Fantastic home.

I’d give the TV room a bit of an update. I think its just the curtains that are putting me off.

The entrance design is flawed but there seems enough room to build a new one- indeed a design challenge. The plan for the western exposure for the pool is function over form. I still like the house.
