This is one of the best designed mansions, both interior and exterior, I have seen in quite a while. I could almost believe that it dates to the 1920’s. There are a few design flaws on the subsidiary wing at the right, which I’ll mention. The garage would have been better if there was separation from the residence by either stepping it back somewhat or having a vertical break in the wall. And the horizontal roof over the small door is out of synch with the arches on other first floor wall openings. But these glitches are more than compensated for by the exceptionally well thought out interior design. Quite an admirable example of spec design/construction.

I agree with Brian that this is well-designed. It does evoke one of the great mansions of the 1920s. I also agree with that design issues on the right side of the front facade, but those could actually be fixed.

The interior looks like it could be amazing and already looks nice without much furniture in it. One issue I do have is with the kitchen. I don’t like having the sink and stove back up to each other like they do. If it were a prep sink that would be one thing, but try having someone work at the stove and open the over while someone else is trying to keep dishes cleaned. Worse yet, open one of both dishwashers and then try to open the over door. Beyond that, I like what’s going on.

Too much wood (that’s what she said!) and I’m not really a fan of the brick ceilings. It also seems like this isn’t just along a golf course but actually in the middle of it. I personally wouldn’t dig but to each his own.

It is nice but it’s a very dark home. I also don’t like how the front of the home could be mistaken for the rear, minus the garages.

I like this for the most part, definitely doesn’t look like a new build. There’s a little too much of the same color wood throughout (especially the master bath…yuck) but the design is great and the details are all there. Nice.
