This AMAZING swimming pool is located in the backyard of a mega mansion located at 5225 Renner Road in Shawnee, KS. According to a Homes of the Rich reader, the pool goes down about 30-40 feet and there is a sunken ship at the bottom. There is also a grotto and 5 different hot tubs inside it and up top. How cool is that?! I LOVE swimming and I could definitely see myself having a little adventure in that monstrosity of a home “swimming pool” (more like a mini lake!).

I wonder if it’s a dive school or something? it looks pretty fascinating.
The house and the pool look f-ing crazy. A 30-40 foot deep pool? That just sounds dangerous. Cool, but dangerous. It’s a damn shame that a pool like this is in KANSAS of all places, so it can only be used several months out of the year.
Looks like an interesting setup. Maybe you can closeups of the whole place someday, Kenny. I can’t figure out what the light green area of the pool is….
I’m pretty sure it’s the shallow end of the swimming pool.
I daresay that’s the “shallow” [normal depth] area of the pool and the darker blue reflects the deeper water? that’s just my guess.
That pool is over the top! But the house is super nice too.
Um thats so freaking weird!
that house is just huge!
i thought they were 2 different houses at first haha
Must be owned by a sociopath. No other explanation.
Oh, you know he complains about the 1% – wah-wah, torqued cause it’s not your’s? Maybe you can get OTDE (Occupy The Deep End) to protest for you and then in the interest of “fairness” have their “liquid” assets redistributed to your Whinyness – ha ha!!!
I wonder if he complains about the 1%.

ha. nice find
Hey Kenny, could you do a post on One57, it’s gonna be pretty amazing I think. The only thing I don’t like is that there’s not enough balconies, but other than that, it looks sick
Kenny you are right about this – it is the most AMAZING pool I have ever seen. Thanks for posting it. Maybe someone that knows the family will see this post and get us some “inside pictures” I would love to see some closeups.
I wonder if this is designed by some group like the Disney Imagineers? I have always wondered if there was a way to hire some of those people to design homes and features like this. This is very cool.
Are you shure thats not a pond?
Yup, positive.
This has got to be one of the most intriguing properties I’ve seen on here! I….must….see…..more….pictures!!
Hideously impractical? Yes. Ungodly expensive to maintain? Yes. Absolutely f***ing fabulous? YES.
Never mind the fact that the property looks like a theme park from the air, this is pretty amazing.

Definitely that’s the house, seems like there’s another 5000+ square feet than the appraisal suggests, or maybe there are a lot of two story ceilings downstairs.
Looks like the pool alone would cost more than the appraised amount.
That pool is so deep i would be afraid of sharks
I know, same here! Imagine if you were at the top at night and one of your friends pushed you off? I would be terrified haha.
What a nightmare to clean! But to be a guest for a day….
Part of me is amazed, the other part of me asks why the hell you need a house the size of a resort with a pool bigger than most resort pools and on top of that in Kansas. What a waste.
AMAZING HOME AS WELL AS THE POOL.
ANYONE KNOW WHO OWNS IT… AND HOW DO YOU MAKE THAT KIND OF FLOW IN SHAWNEE, KANSAS?
Scroll up through the comments and you should be able to figure it out. You might find the caps lock button when you looking for it too…
The guy is a lawyer. A politically connected one.I’m happy for him…and just as happy for the scores of people that will be employed to maintain that beast.Still…I think it’s a cooler story if the owner had been say the founder of some manufacturing concern. He probably did’nt spend that much throwing this thing up.(relatively speaking) Non farmland in Kansas-as opposed to say Holmby Hills-has to be pretty cheap.I tend towards “modern urbanist” architecture…so I’m not really feelin’ the whole “McMansion On Steroids” vibe of the house. But absolute thumbs up on the waterworks. Those nannies will earn their money keeping an eye on the kids near that thing.
Additionally…I’m gonna assume the front yard can double as helipad.(?) Got a putting green? I don’t see a beach volleyball court. Is there an indoor water attraction for the other 8 months of the year? Gonna be interesting to see what happens when they go to sell the beast.
Here are some pics of the pool and inside the house from a fundraiser event they held http://demnotes.com/photos/displayimage.php?album=91&pos=23
Evidently the best thing about this house is the outside because the inside is hideous decorating and uninspired architecture.

Homes are always awesome like this.
