it’s no suprise Mansion One has such a huge lead. It’s the only entirley true classical interpretation. Mansiom Two and Three are about 85-90% percent good. And why is anyone voting for the last house? It’s a total McMansion turd dropping.
McMansion or not #4 is visually stunning.
Completely agree love everything about it
Number 1 by far. Simplicity and elegance at its finest. Two isn’t bad but is boring. Three looks like a typical middle-class New England home clad in brick. Four looks nice at night, but as Jason said, the daytime pics make it look like a tract-home.
Number 1
number 2
It was a toss-up between #’s 1 and 2 for me. I’ve always loved Sterling Hall, but #1 is just right in so many ways. It’s stately but welcoming, and truly classic: it’s going to look good in 100 years or more. I know we’re only talking about the exterior here (well, we were) but even the interior of #1 is beautiful.
I go for #2, though #1 is a close second. I lssike the style of architecture and am absolutely in lust with all that shiny woodwork. I hate flat or semi-gloss varnish. Some of the other walls might benefit from a bit more color. So much white and what appears in the photos to be perhaps a pale grey only go so far. House #3 is as someone else said, just plain jane perhaps a decorator could give it a nce boost. #4 is one of the worst examples of trashy mcmansion I’ve ever seen. i’ll admit it looks good lit up after dark, no Christmas decorations needed here. It’s all meant to “impress the guests,” to quote your mama on the Real Estalker. Definitely someone is nouveau riche here. Wonder why it’s on the market?
number 1 and 3 are both very similar, however I’d have to go with number 1 as it has better landscaping. There’s nothing jaw-dropping about number 2, it looks like it was loosely based on an English manor house but the flat and lengthy facade doesn’t do it any favors. As for number 4, I’ll pass…
