I love this place. The only thing i dislike is the wood roof in the kitchen. Ive never liked knot holes.
I do like this house. It’s a well-done western lodge with a good combination of grand and intimate rooms. I like that it’s on a decent amount of land and of course the views are amazing. The price is finally coming down to realistic terms, although it needs to go a little lower.
I love the interior, but the exterior really reminds me of a Cracker Barrel. Since we’re in the same area, I’d much rather have this (even though it’s nearly double the price):

^^ Stunning! Who is affording these places tho? Im staggered theres so many houses in the plus 15m price range.
I like it, but parts of it are a little too polished and corporate-looking for my taste. And 36.5 mil is quite a bit more than this place, location notwithstanding.
LOVE the bar and wine cellar though.
The interior is rustic and charming, but not particularly imaginative. To me, the exterior says “corporate retreat” more than “vacation home”.
Also, I know there are numerous guest homes and outbuildings, but only 4 bedrooms in the main residence? That’s a little skimpy in a 12,000 square foot mansion.
I actually appreciate a large house where the owners/designers/builders have resisted the temptation to cram it full of a large number of small bedrooms. Space is a luxury, and I hate when a large amount of space is used to create too many little spaces. I personally would rather have fewer larger rooms than a warren of little bedrooms. Ideally, I’d have 3-4 large bedrooms in the main house with 3-4 additional bedrooms in the guesthouse(s).
That’s true…I can appreciate when space isn’t wasted on a profusion of distinctly lackluster bedrooms…I’d like to see pics of the bedrooms though, to see if the relative lack of them is worth it
I really like it, it looks like a very comfortable place to relax.
