This is what dreams are made of. Over-the-top in every way and rightfully so. Love it.
Perfect for folks that are stuck up and want to sit upright all of the time and judge everyone. I like nothing about this home. Way too bourgeois for my tastes.
In other words, perfect for the people on this site.
No, people on this site enjoy beautiful homes. This is not one of them. How’s Dat sound?
Oh wow…I absolutely hate it. I would normally wet myself over a 19th century French villa, but this does not excite me. From a distance, the exterior looks like cinder block. The interior has been turned from a villa to a mock-palace. It has none of the casual luxuriousness a villa should have, and instead is uptight (to borrow Mark’s word), pretentious, and uncomfortable-looking. The spaces themselves look well-proportioned and have great potential. Let’s hope it’s not sold furnished since the first thing a new owner should do is strip out every single piece of furniture and drapery and send it off to auction.
$5200.00 a sq ft . Am I missing something?
sumptuous luxury for the knitting club meet. Divided on this one, i does look co-ordinated, but so impractical. Chairs right in front of fire places, tacky fire guards and piles of paper on the desk in the library dont help. But thats just personal choices by the owner, I do like the buffet in the dining room though!
$28 million? help me understand this, someone.
The price is high because this villa is located in an area wich would make beverly hills look like a piece of shit… and because there is a lot of people who want to live there, especially the billionaires from the east…
A beautiful and imposing property let down by the horrifically inadequate kitchen and a raging case of inflated price.
The “experts” on this site never seize to amaze me.
It’s a comments page. Not an experts page. Thanks for your comment…
Now for my expert opinion. A beautiful classic french meditteranean home. I love the lines and the coloring and the over the top decorating that only the French could get away with. The landscaping is beautiful as well. This reminds me of the home in “Dirty, Rotten Scoundrels” with Steve Martin, where they were playing con men on the riviera. Beautiful home but very small. Would have to run comps but I cannot imagine this price is correct. Maybe some old Comtessa is trying to make a killing off her property.
PS. The charge for my expert opinion on this house is $150,000 per word. In keeping with the pricing of the place. Please forward a check. Thanks in advance.
