This newly built French European style mansion is located at 1284 Eagle Road in New Hope, PA and is situated on 11 acres. The all brick home boasts roughly 15,433 square feet of living space with 6 bedrooms, 9 full and 3 half bathrooms, molding and millwork throughout, imported tiled flooring, grand double staircase, formal living and dining rooms, family room, two kitchens, elevator, huge ballroom, two offices, garden room, maid’s quarters, terraces, 4-car garage and an 8,884 square foot lower level with indoor swimming pool. It is listed at $5,900,000.

The listing photos are horrendous…..as is the tacky interior with its minuscule furniture.

    Could use some TLC.
Funny thing to say about a new build, but some tasteful furnishings and paintwork could make it a home.

I guess with only a $5.9M price, there was nothing in the budget for an architect. The contractor probably just had has teenage kid design it. At least the flowers in the entrance hall are in good taste. I hope they’re included. Are you sure this “thing” isn’t actually in Australia?

If this house is 15,433 on the upper 2 levels with an additional 8884 in the basement plus the garage, then it is a good deal. Creative people can always be brought in to landscape, decorate etc. If the 15,433 is all inclusive, then forget it.

A craptacular home with tiny bits of redemption. And call me crazy, but $6 million for an unfinished home in Pennsylvania does not sound like the deal of the century.

It most certainly is not. Cutting the price in half would be a good start, but it would ONLY be a start.

Many architects describe the creative process of designing as “giving birth”. I would say the architect of this thing used a somewhat different process to push it out.

Reminds me of the spoof of the show “I didn’t know I was pregnant” that they did on something like the Chappelle show or SNL…where a woman thought she was pregnant, so her husband rushes her to the hospital, and the nurses and doctors all tell her to push and breathe and all that good stuff, and finally she ends up crapping herself and the spoof title comes up…”I didn’t know I had to take a dump!” Yeah, this home is that.

Definitely not a house I’d remotely spend nearly $6 million on.

This is a hopelessly bad house. I assume that it only made it on here because everyone has PA on their mind after this week.

I perused the full photo gallery on the listing website in hopes that it was a little better than the four photos provided here. And I was wrong. The analogy has been used before, but this seriously looks like a Sims house…it’s a mish-mash of disparate (and cheap-looking) elements, cobbled together and filled with cheap, off-the-shelf furniture that looks like it was carelessly chosen. Just turn these photos into renderings and you could slip it into a Sims neighborhood, no problem.
