I think Mizner would be rolling over in his grave if he saw this is inspired by him. I really, really don’t like that giant window in the front. It comes off as too contemporary and looks much more dated than 2002. The interior is pretty terrible all the way around. No offense, but it looks more suited to New Jersey than Jupiter Island. To make matters worse, there’s NO POOL?!?!?!? Unforgivable. The guest house looks nicer than the main house. Price isn’t bad considering the Jupiter Island locale, but the strcuture itself is a failure.

Daniel, when I first looked at it, the enormous window in the front attracted my attention…..I agree with what you are saying.

Daniel, I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment of this place. The exterior wouldn’t be quite so bad without that big window. The interior is looking more 1992 than 2002…it’s just ugly, and is mostly stark white throughout…lazy and gross. The lack of a pool is indeed baffling. I love the views, and that’s about it. And guess what? the views will be the same if this place gets torched and something else put up in its place.

Ugh…I just hate it. Mizner-inspired apparently means taking elements of his designs, making them ugly, then slaping them haphazardly onto and into this house. My guess is that the architect read the CliffsNotes version of Mizner’s portfolio but missed the details about how to make the design cohesive. The exterior has no consistent sense of proportion, and some truly unfortunate window choices. As has been pointed out, the turret on the front ruins an already terrible facade. I half expect to find a carousel inside of it.

The interior is flat-out depressing. There is nothing – not one single element – that I fine even remotely tolerable. It is completely loathsome.
