This home has great potential. First thing to go are the OBSCENE window treatments. Why are the valences so much higher than the top of the window/door frames? Why would you put window treatments as an accent on a bare wall (photo 5)? I’m dying to know where they got their ‘inspiration’ for that design travesty. Otherwise, there is nothing wrong with the place. I like the stone details over the interior arches. The rooms look very airy, yet are scaled well. Too bad I’d never live [willingly] in the desert.

It’s a very nice hacienda. I like the massing of the exterior and think it’s actually an attractive house. The outdoor areas also look nice, and are mostly shaded.

The furnishings pretty much all need to go and be replaced with items that aren’t so overbearing. Ditto with the crystal chandeliers. For the most part, the rooms looks nicely scaled, with the exception of the master bedroom; the ceiling height makes the proportions in that room feel all wrong.

It’s definitely a nice house, I like the outdoor living spaces a lot, and the interior is very nice too. I’m just not sure I could get used to how BEIGE everything is in houses in this area. Outside, it’s almost appealing because it makes the home look like it truly belongs where it’s built…like it’s built into the surroundings rather than on top of them. Inside is different…I just couldn’t live with that small amount of color variation. Like I said, though, nice place.

Daniel I don’t think I could agree more with the window treatments they look awful! This house is quite a showplace from the exterior but the inside decor makes it look really bad and the photographer that this listing agent uses always has that certain look that makes it look bad, and this home was finished in winter 2008 not 2010.
