In the past, I’ve featured the mega mansion designs of some of our readers. Today I share with you Homes of the Rich reader Kory’s magnificent mega mansion design. It includes the elevations and the very detailed floor plans. A+, Kory! Great job! What do you guys think?

“What do you guys think?” … Uhm, I think you should’ve posted something of higher quality than a bunch of cellphone pics …
Well this is what my reader sent me.
Calm down man
This is amazing. Makes my drawings look like kids sketches.
Looks like they put a lot of thought into their dream home! Nice job!
the pictures arent great quality, and regardless, the floorplans seem hard to read anyway. I would do another draft making the walls darker and thicker so you can see the different rooms better and also take out the furniture and just label the rooms, which would make it easier to read. Otherwise the house looks good, I would love to be able to look at more readable floorplans!
Can you give me the readers e-mail? I am interested in talking with them about their plan.
Fantastic job Kory, the hours and hours of work that went into this are blatantly evident.
Please Please can Kory e-mail Kenny some larger, clearer files, perhaps adobe reader or if only photographs then perhaps more than one photograph per floor to make the plans readable. The plans look phenomenal but I think i speak for everyone when I say that we cannot appreciate them in their entirety if we cannot read them.
Really interested to see the layout of the rooms but i cant see what’s what! haha
Thanks
Great job Kory! Obviously you have spent many, many hours on the plans. I would like to know the stats of the house though. Also, what scale did you use (as in how many sq ft per square on your graph paper)?
This is pretty nice.
An impressive amount of time went into this.
I kind of want to see it built.
If you have an iPad or a Mac you can zoom out these photos pretty easily.
Love it! The ceilings are awesome. The plan looks great. The landscape is great too. I would love to see base plans too without the furniture and would love to see the kitchen in more detail. One of the best elevations to date in my opinion.
The scale used on the graph paper is one square equals 3 feet. Making the house pretty insane. Took more pictures and emailed them in. It’s hard to capture everything.
Hi Kory,
I love your Dream Home, you can see all the hard work and effort you have put in, to produce this. I would love to put mine onto paper like this, I can’t tell from the paper, but did you hand draw this? (If so, It’s really really really good) or did you use some type of software? and if so could tell me what it was called?
Thanks so much,
Amanda
I’d love to see some plans that have been scanned in or put into adobe, I can’t really see much of anything as-is. I’ll suspend judgment until then
I just bought a book of graph paper, note book size, and tape them together so I can make it as large as I can. I drew it with a pencil and a ruler, it’s simple. I had drew all the landscaping and a majority of everything else, but used a ruler on the layout of the house.
I don’t think I have tried drawing with graph paper, thats probably where I could improve, thankyou for the tip, I’m going to try this.
I like the elevations. I do not like the double stairway. Pretty hard to read but looks really detailed. Would like to see it a little clearer. Particularly the master.
I have to agree, I like the elevations a lot, actually. I’ve seen built houses (on this website) that don’t look as good. Before I moved to computer programs, I too used graph paper for sketching; the amount of detail here is impressive, especially in regards to the landscaping. The plans are hard to read in the pics, but I would say keep up the good work. Just forget about the double staircases – they are too cliche these days and rarely look good!
Kory what is youre e-mail i would like to talk to you about your plans.

really like the layout. Would be nice to be able to see it a little better but otherwise impressed.
Can’t even see it, but it looks like it could be really interesting.
