White House/Black Market interior, car dealership exterior. LOL-ed at that price.

Love both the exterior and interior spaces, geometry, shapes, lines & volumes, but LITERALLY CANNOT LOOK AT FOR ANOTHER SECOND ALL the interior “DESIGN”!!!!!

For some strange reason that’s never happened to me with surgically stark black & white homes, this one made me sick to my stomach. TALK ABOUT TAKING AN ABSOLUTE STARK-RAVING-STRICT design theme WAAAAAAAY TOO FAR!!!

The front elevation makes me think of a south Florida dental arts office. The rear facade actually isn’t bad. The interior is just flat out terrible. The white is too white, and there’s too much of it, and the black is too black, and there’s too much of it. The starkness of the interior is jarring. It could be salvaged with a completely different interior design, but I don’t think it’s worth the effort.

All the black & white just about gives me a headache. That general design theme may have worked in a room or two, but it’s overbearing when it’s the whole damn thing…black & white stripes aside, I don’t really see much here I like. Pass.

Whats even funnier, regardless of the price is that the owners are selling through a no commission (sell yourself) agency called saveoncommission.com.au, so they are obviously not serious about selling. The owners purchased the land in July 2009 for $4.3m, somehow i dont think the construction is worth $13m… and the Gold Coast at the moment is in a huge downward spiralling property market… GOOD LUCK!

I love the house except for the staircase.
Ignoring the fact that a staircase that has two parts that go to the same place is retarded, it does not fit in at all with a completely otherwise contemporary interior.
I would rip it out, I don’t care what is cost.

The price, well I know nothing about Australia so I can’t really comment, but I would not pay that.

I got vertigo looking at this. What is with the Australians and their awkward houses? I could never feel comfortable in this house. And 18 mill., what a joke. I like the lighting in the back and the back facade. The rest of it is just nauseating. I do not even understand the kitchen.
