Hmmm. I’m intrigued. I like it. The front exterior is a little odd, but I realize the focal point is the rear. Inside is very nice and clean, and looks good for 1986. I love the landscaped lot as well. Price seems very reasonable.

I cringe whenever I see a date in the 1980s paired with the term “contemporary”. It usually equates to an ungracefully aged home that may have been modern and forward-looking when it was built but ends up looking stale in the current day.

    Not so for this home.

Parts of it give away how old it is, but this is really quite a pleasing home. The interior is light, airy, even (shock!) COMFORTABLE! Contemporaries remain one of those styles I couldn’t picture myself living in, but this one comes pretty damn close. The light woods and wide fireplaces are really pleasing. I’d like a more distinctive kitchen, but almost everything else about this place is great. The setting is absolutely beautiful, plenty of trees that manage to make the place look heavily wooded but don’t make the interior a cave, minimal landscaping giving a nice clean look…Not much I don’t like about this place. The price is pretty reasonable too.

Yes, this is a great place. I think the furniture is kind of boring, and I would put up a few well-chosen large colorful canvases, but it’s really nice in its current state. I would get rid of the anti-child fence around the pool, but I love the wooded setting; it looks completely private.

I didn’t think you guys would think positive about this one; but I stand corrected.

But I agree with all of you: it looks very clean, simple and nice. It has looks a bit “Frank Lloyd Wright ish”; the interior is much different then I though it would be, in a good way. I actually like the look of the front exterior with the driveway, trees and stuff…
