Beautiful view, but that is where the appeal ends for me. Front looks terrible, especially against the stunning backdrop. Driveway is too big. Interior beams are just annoying, like a spider’s web. Rear of the home ain’t bad. I’d bulldoze everything but the pool and hot tub.

The view is lovely, but the house is just meh. The front facade is terrible, but the rear facade is better. The interior has some nice features, but most/all of the rooms look off proportionally. The ceilings are either too high or too low. Those with high ceilings don’t look human-scaled.

I agree with you guys about the beams, but overall I like the house. The back is fantastic in my opinion, especially considering the view of the river/lake. I think the front is a little plain, but that’s okay, as long as the back is nice. I would love to wake up in that bedroom with the view of the water. 🙂

“I would love to wake up in that bedroom with the view of the water.”

      You stole my sentence!

I’m with the general opinion here; the exterior looks good, the view is amazing, I have my doubt’s about the interior but the front is just boring.

If it’s in Kelowna, it’s a lake view, not an ocean view.

I agree with the consensus on the facade. It’s really underwhelming and cheap-looking for a house so expensive…although for these lakefront properties it’s less about what it looks like from the front than it is about the views and rear elevation. Inside is pretty bland. I like wood beam ceilings, but as everyone else said, the ones in this home are too busy. A lot of the windows are annoyingly plain too…I know a big rectangular plate glass window lets you see the view really well, but it’s boring. I don’t like when master bedrooms have raised portions for where the bed goes either.

The only things I really like are the view and the pool…I also sort of like the idea of a 2-story kitchen area with an overlook, but that’s just in general, this one is just okay. And that price…I don’t know Canadian real estate too well, but this sounds awfully steep.

Why is the kitchen sink faucet 5x times bigger than my shower nozzle?!

I worked in a 20k sf commercial kitchen in college and even that place didn’t have a nozzle that big!

Didn’t you hear? The new thing now is to shower in the kitchen 🙂

I dunno guys… it’s not all bad. It’s just a little cookie-cutter/uniform. You see thousands of houses exactly like this all around the Pacific Northwest. But I could totally live there.
