Much better than most of the houses I’ve seen of this style (Mediterranean), especially the interior. The staircase is very nice, the office/library and the billiard room look great and the rest is good too.

But almost 12 million for something that has a garden this size of ours…

It looks like quite a nice house. The interior is formal, but looks livable and comfortable, and the exterior spaces look very nice. It IS very typical for south FL, but it works.

My standard complaint about this type of home applies here…it’s crammed onto a tiny lot, close to the neighbors…not my thing. Sorry, had to get that out of the way.

The home is actually quite nice. My main complaints are that the furnishings are a little frumpy to my eyes (not a problem since most home sales don’t come with the furniture) and the kitchen isn’t Mediterranean enough in feel for me.

Otherwise I actually like it quite a bit. As Daniel said, it comes off “clean and elegant” (aside from the frumpiness of some of the furniture) and is quite tasteful. It’s a HUGE plus when real estate listings come complete with floor plans, and after perusing the plans for this place I really have no problems with the layout…the entertaining spaces that would be located in a basement if the home weren’t in FL are well placed, off to the side where they’re still easy to get to when company is over but also out of the way when not in use, there’s good flow through the other main floor rooms (although the dining room seems a little on the small side). Upstairs, there are the right amount of bedrooms, all with their own baths, with the right measurements (not too small, not too cavernous), there’s copious amounts of outdoor living spaces, and a luxurious master suite that shares no walls with secondary bedrooms.

Overall it’s pretty appealing, minus the few demerits listed above.

Actually the home is being offered furnished 😀

I guess that’s still not much of a problem, just get rid of what you don’t like and keep what you do. Looking back through the pictures, I think it’s mainly just the living room furniture that I didn’t like. That little detail about the home being furnished does make the price a bit sweeter too.
