A strange and at times ugly home. The only part I like is the rear exterior. Every room looks off to me somehow.

I’ll start by declaring that if I were to live in the Bay Area, it would be on the peninsula, or in the city. As for this house, there is so. much. beige. It’s everywhere, both inside and out. The front of the house looks like a garage with a house attached. With so much land available, even with the sloped site, a little creative thought could have put the garages in a less central spot, maybe even underground in the hillside. The back is better, but doesn’t really have much character. The interior is completely unimaginative, and looks like it’s filled with furnishings that were picked out by someone who is terrified of color. The random smatterings of rust and pale red don’t remedy the situation. The only thing about the interior I like is the fireplace in the entrance foyer. I don’t care so much for the fireplace itself, but do like the concept of having a fireplace in the entry.

I live right next door to this new estate at 45 lark place. This home is amazing, photos are not a good source to shows it quality or beauty. The reason for the high price is the very expensive Alamo area.
