Wow! Could the unimaginable just have happened? The most expensive home in America has been sold! The 57,000 square foot mega mansion, located in Holmby Hills, CA, was built by the late Aaron Spelling and was put on the market by his widow Candy back in 2009 for a whopping $150 million. Well, the behemoth of a home is now in contract to be sold to Petra Eccelstone, the 22-year-old heiress daughter of billionaire Formula One racing boss Bernard Ecclestone for an undisclosed amount. Sources say her first offer was for $75 million, but I don’t know if that was the final selling price. She is said to be splitting her time between London and Los Angeles after her wedding to entrepreneur James Stunt. If you don’t already know, Petra owns has a six-story house in London’s Chelsea neighborhood purchased for £56 million ($90.9 million). So, I guess buying a house with that large of a price tag isn’t all that foreign to her, or should I say her father.

I wonder how much she actually paid. I’m gonna say somewhere around $75 million.

Shaking my head in ETERNALLY AGHAST ASTONISHMENT that ANYone has AND DOES spend (what I’m POSITIVE will be) MIND-BLEACHING UNIVERSES OF MONEY on ONE, REPEAT ONE “home”. And I don’t care HOW MUCH money this young womans’ father has……..SHE’S TWENTY-F$CKING-TWO YEARS OLD!!!!!

Sorry, but while everyone’s money is theirs to do with what they want, this just plain old TRULY makes me SICK……can’t help it.

    She is cute.
Her father is one of the biggest jackasses in human history.
I laughed when he got his ass kicked and robbed the other day when he was out with his granddaughter, I mean girlfriend.

Hahaha….I’ll definitely have to look that up. If he’s like most straight, ridiculously wealthy, mature-to-senior men (i.e. TROLLS who couldn’t keep it in their pants if their very LIVES depended on it, all too often) he’s most likely bangin’ chicks his DAUGHTERS’age…….nauseating.

Yeah, that’s really not an overstatement…he’s really a jackass. Must love his daughter to DEATH though. She may be rich in her own right, but really most of her money comes from daddy. I don’t know what the hell she needs one of the biggest homes in America for though.

I thought Petra had better taste than this. I understood her spending so much money on Sloane House; it’s a beautiful property in a great neighborhood in an amazing city. But this? First off, it’s in LA, albeit one of the nicest parts of LA. Secondly, it’s just an ugly house of average quality with not a lot of thought put into the design. I guess if it makes her happy…

In defense of Petra’s father, I recall a statement my best friend Bob Krieger said to me, “You can’t hear thank you from the grave”. So daddy went a little, [a lot] overboard. It’s his money and none of our business what he does with it.

According to TMZ she really wanted to purches the “Fleur de Lys”. Here is the article:

I don’t care about this house. I never wanted it. She can have it. I want that Chiltern Estate.

Seriously. This house is nothing I tell you NOTHING compared to that house.

Look at this house. Look at Chiltern. Then, back to this house. Then, back to Chiltern. See the difference? Look at it again. This house, and then Chiltern.

Is there ANY way you could compare the two? Not in this universe, on this planet, at this time. No comparison. Not even close.

Could NOT agree with you more, Mak……..ETERNALLY NO COMPARISON.

Even though I’d never want to live in, much less own either of them, you’re still hopelessly correct.

I agree with comments re Chiltern. By my careful calculations, Chiltern Estate should be worth 4X this one, valuing the Spelling Mansion at a tad under $11M. So I suspect our favorite heiress may have overpaid by a smidgen…
