The Noorilim Estate is one of Australia’s most significant private estates. It is located in Wahring, Victoria, Australia and was designed by James Gall in 1879. The 14-room mansion was classified by the National Trust and is featured on the Victorian Heritage Register. It boasts 15+ foot ceilings, the finest Victorian and Italianate details, intricate imported floor tiles and etched windows. The property offers a vineyard, manicured botanical gardens, Goulburn River frontage, water tower and barns. The price is available upon request.

At a quick glance, I thought this was Villa Erba (My favorite house on Lake Como). This house looks to be my favorite in Australia. Very beautiful all around, minus the wallpaper in the living room. Very nice indeed. Damn shame it’s all the way in Australia :/

It’s a pretty cool house. I don’t like most of the furniture but that’s easily changed. The wallpaper in most rooms needs to go too. I don’t understand the preponderance of white canvases throughout the house. Maybe they’re Robert Rauschenberg paintings; one would be stunning, several in different rooms is too much. This is apparently owned by Rod Menzies, and there are lots more pics here: http://www.noorilim.net/

Nevermind on the white canvases. I realize now they’ve been blurred out. Duh…

maybe they are trying to protect their art collection from Australian burglars. I wonder what the security system is like in that house.? Kenny?

Well I, for one, am happy that Mak gets her koi pond. And Daniel…everywhere seems a long way away from where you are, unless you’re there. Then it seems very close by. Anyway, I would be very alarmed if I lived in the USA…all signs are pointing towards a catastrophic collapse. Within the next ten years interest on the National Debt will exceed total GDP. Very scary.

Meanwhile the palm trees in South Florida will be greener than ever and the azure waters as warn as a bathwater.

And Australia is realllllllly far away from…everything. And I sure as sh!t ain’t gonna have my toilet water flush the *wrong* way.

Inside is much brighter than the exterior had me expect…it looked like it might be haunted from the outside. Very impressive, but I suspect it’ll be a tough sell no matter what the price is.
