I have always loved this house. Didn’t David Ogilvy originally have the listing? Seems like I’ve seen this house on the market before.

For 1989, it looks spectacular. Heck, for 2011 it looks great. I love everything in this house, minus the kitchen. Way too contemporary and looks completely out of place with the tray ceiling. That would be the first thing to go. And I may be alone here, but I really like the green paneling in photo 8. Only other things I would change is the window treatments in a few rooms – some of it looks too heavy and dark. Price-wise, I think this is very fair. 12 acres in Conyers Farm plus a stunning estate to match? Yes, please.

You are definitely not alone on your opinion of the green paneling…I immediately liked that when I saw it, it’s a nice contrast to the same-old same-old dark stained wood of everyone else’s libraries.

First. I really want to see the bing on this. If it is really secluded then I think it would be a great house. I like the castle feel to it. I think the dining room should have a higher ceiling and am not sure about the green in the library. Is that green marble? If it is marble I like it. If it is some kind of formica or plastic then I don’t. I think the massive double fireplaces go great with the castle theme. Now the new owner just needs to get a couple or Irish wolfhounds to lounge in front of the fireplaces.

The home is located on Conyers Farm Drive, on the south side of the street. It is about 750 feet northeast of Converse Pond. Hope that helps!

I just cannot tell you guys how much I adore this house! Ever since I saw it on Realtors…I knew it was something special. The only fault I have with this home is the kitchen. It takes away from the old world charm. Apart from that, this house is unique. The castle theme works, without making it look cheesy or gaudy! Maybe one day I will win the lottery lol…

I really want to like this house, but something prevents me. Another home on this agent’s site really attracts me… so full of light and delight! Less expesive, too, and still a large lot. You’ll see what I mean if you search.
Okay, I can like this house, especially with the suggested dogs lazing by the fire-places 😉
