Stunning exterior. And look…TREES!!!! Interior ain’t bad, although the photographs don’t really convey the size of the spaces. I don’t like the slate flooring in the sun room. Also, why is what I’m assuming is the breakfast area adjacent to the formal dining room???? I’d need to see more photos of the interior, but I really like what I see.

Hey…we have trees here in CT. There are lots and lots of trees. In fact, there are more trees now than back in the 1800’s. Much of CT (and the rest of the northeast) was denuded for fire wood, and agriculture.

So yea…we have trees. They cost a TON of money to remove too, especially if they’re very big and close to a house which requires special care to take down.

As for this place? Perhaps I’m bored with the Greenwich recipe for houses, but it just doesn’t make me happy to look at it. (It is, however, refreshing to see a mansion without the typical horseshoe double staircase.)

Wait! I know why!…Its because I’ve seen the house of my dreams, and no house can ever compare to it. Chiltern is the dream of dreams for me.

I like the outside alot. The inside is okay. I’m assuming the 21 mil. price tag is because of that zip code its in. NO THANKS. I know Greenwich is considered “the place to be”. To me you have to be from that area to appreciate it I guess. Well I’m not and its no more than a 5 mil. home to me.

I like the exterior, and like the back better than the front. The terraced yard is a nice touch. The interior is nice, in a typical boring east coast aristocratic way. It needs some life breathed into it.

The exterior is fabulous, but the interior doesn’t seem to live up to the promise of the outside. Although it certainly looks quality-built, it’s not quite as quality as I’d expect at this size and price point…so I guess it’s nice to look at but sort of boring overall..

Actually, NOVA Ben…your comment summarizes what I clumsily tried to convey. Thanks, I agree completely. 😉

Just exactly what I would expect from Greenwich. Good solid house, good solid decorating.
