Can’t really say anything nice about this house other than the seemingly low price. Perhaps they could negotiate it down to cover the demolition costs?

I like the interior quite a bit. The front is a bit feminine and doll house, but it sort of suits the area.

I don’t hate it as much as Daniel does, but I don’t love it. The formal dining room is practically a part of the entrance hall, and the proportions of the living room are terrible. The kitchen doesn’t seem to have lots of storage, unless there’s a large pantry we don’t see. The phrase “Too many cooks in the kitchen” is common, but in this case there are too many cocks in the kitchen. OK, bad joke…but seriously, too many damn roosters. It seems like with some updating, more details, and a few minor changes here and there it could be an OK family home.

I like the exterior. It’s not in any way overly exciting, but it’s pleasing in an understated way. I’d like a driveway that sweeps up close to the front door though, all there is here is a path to the front door from the sidewalk.

Inside is very “safe” decor-wise. The foyer is elegant, that’s definitely a high point. The dining room is a little too open to the surrounding areas, but I like the library (minus the carpet/rug). The kitchen is very nice too. Overall I think I’d categorize this home as “inoffensive” with some bright spots here and there. Definitely more positive than negative though

One random thought: I really appreciate the layout of this agent’s website. There are decent-sized photos in an easy-to-navigate format, and all the essentials are there in large, no-nonsense print: bedrooms, bathrooms, house size, lot size (although nothing is entered for this one), year built, garages, and list price. bang, bang, bang, right there in front of you. Then there’s a concise description and a few more minor details. I REALLY wish other agents/listing offices would use a template like this, don’t you?

Eh it is OK, nothing special, but nothing really bad about it.

I can tell the owners are assholes though.
What is with that dining room setup?
I can’t think of anything greater to offend your guests than for you and your wife to sit on those chairs at the head of the table while the other guests were relegated to the lesser chairs.

If I were invited to a dinner party and ran into that setup, I would leave.

    Texans…

I agree, Venom. And I think Daniel has been LESS destructive lately…can’t think why (?) Perhaps his bulldozer is in the shop for repairs? OH WOW, I only just noticed….I’ve made the “commentators”list!!! Woop-de-doo! 😉
