Here is the annual list of the 100 most expensive properties in the Dallas, TX metro area.

From D Magazine:

This information comes from Dallas Central Appraisal District assessments. In most cases, these are certified 2010 numbers. In some cases, we used 2011 proposed values, which don’t become final until later this month. Multiple contiguous accounts (we like to think of them as “compounds”) owned by individuals were added together. View them all, from 1 to 100, or click the top of a column to sort by size, age, and other statistics. Just try not to covet thy neighbor’s pad.

I wish S. Florida had a list like this.

As far as the homes on this list, I like number 1 a lot. Anyone have any more pictures?

I wish CA had lists like this.

The house was designed by Peter Marino (it’s the RESIDENCE DALLAS).It was built by Sebastian Construction Group (more pics here: http://www.sebastiancg.com/SEBMain.html -The Holloway Residence). It’s a nice house, but I don’t go crazy. Some interior details could have been a little bit better. But, it’s still a terrific estate nonetheless.

Personally, I think that the number 2 house (owned by Gerald Ford) is the best by far from this annual list.It was built by Sebastian Construction Group too: (http://www.sebastiancg.com/SEBMain.html -The Oaks Residence). The indoor pool is fantastic.EASILY ONE OF THE BEST MANSIONS I HAVE EVER SEEN IN US. The interior is unbelievably perfect, I really like everything about this mansion.

I also like the 33rd house (owned by Laurence Lebowitz).Guess what: It was
built by Sebastian Construction Group! It’s the Strait Lane Residence.Truly unique contemporary residence from every aspect.

Furthermore, I really would like to see interior pics from M.Cuban’s and H.Doug
    Barnes huge mansions among others.

The Sebastian Group is by far the best luxury home builder in north Texas/Dallas area. You can’t find nicer constructions, especially the extremely large ones.

Poor Chateau du Triomphe. If not for that terrible 2002 fire, it would have easily been at the top of this list.

I believe back in 2002, it was the 2nd biggest home in America. Very much a shame that it burned!

It would be impressive to see a list like this of Los Angeles or South Florida. Even a city like Atlanta. Forget it, I’d like to see a nice interactive list of the largest and most expensive homes in the nation.

My favorite home in Dallas in on the list: #47. 20,000 sq. foot Colonial Strait Lane mansion – what more can you ask for?
