This Mediterranean style state, dubbed The Bellagio, is located at 5195 Isleworth Country Club Drive in Windermere, FL. It was built in 2006 and boasts 10,199 square feet of living space with 5 bedrooms and 6 full and 3 half bathrooms. It is listed at $7,000,000. By the way, realtors really need to start taking BIGGER and BETTER pictures for their listings. It’s getting quite annoying looking at these tiny photos.

HERE ARE THE LISTING DETAILS:

Overlooking Isleworth’s Hole 3 Fairway, The Bellagio is a marquee estate combining refined style with timeless touches. This Mediterranean-style estate features hand-painted and mosaic-tiled ceilings, marble and travertine floors with walnut inlay, a handcrafted marble and mosaic staircase, and marble columns and corbels imported from Spain. The formal living room is infused with several regal touches, including four antique Parisian theater chandeliers, and a honed marble fireplace. An underground wine cellar and tasting room with temperature-controlled storage for more than 2,000 bottles offers a step back in time with its Old World Italian decor. The master wing features a romantic sitting area with a fireplace and hand-painted frescos crowning a pair of double doors that open to a dramatic bath with dual onyx vanities, generously sized his-and-her closets, a dressing area and outdoor spa. The Centerpiece of the master bath is a raised tub. The gourmet kitchen, equipped with an expansive island, butler’s pantry, chef’s planning area, breakfast bar and dining area, opens to the family room with built-ins and glass wall doors that access a luxurious outdoor living area. The elegant pool with a lap lane, fountains, a spa and a swim-up fireplace is surrounded by a summer kitchen and manicured gardens. An upstairs game room cleverly converts to a home theater, which opens to a spacious two-tier balcony offering views of the golf course, pool and a nearby lake.

I agree re: the tiny pictures. Then again, the tiny pictures keep us from having to be subjected to a high resolution nightmare of the interior. The bones of the house are OK for the most part, but I hate all the furnishings. Strip all of it out, and there would be a good basis for a nice interior. The floor in the kitchen/family room doesn’t work in those spaces; it’s just way too busy.

The front facade is nice, but the rear looks way too plain. I sort of like the pool set the edge of the property. Underlying everything is the thought I would never choose to live in Florida, and then live in Windermere. I don’t see the point in living miles and miles from the ocean if I’m going to live in a state with ocean on three sides.

Put it on top of the list: remove the floors. Boy do they look hideous.
It looks like it doesn’t have much privacy either.
But I can picture myself in that hammock, dreaming away with a cold drink.

i usually like that style of floor (marble with interlacing wood), but it just seems like the colors are off in this house. and it looks a bit overdone.

Well my love for Florida Mediterranean’s continues with this home. Love the exterior. I think the front and back look very nice and symmetrical, at least from the birds-eye view. What I don’t like about the exterior is the fact that the driveway doesn’t cross by the front door. I would have preferred it to be a large circular driveway.

Inside I like most of it. I agree the floors in the family room should go – they are too formal for the space. I genuinely like most of the decor, but I don’t think the pictures are taken very well. The home has the same amount of detailing one would expect to see in a home at this price range…in SOUTH FLORIDA! As Grrrowler said, Windermere isn’t exactly the prime of Florida. The prices are incredibly inflated. Move this house to a country club in Boca or Lauderdale or on the intracoastal, and then you have a winner in my opinion.
