I don’t know if I’d call this “newly listed”. It’s been on and off the market since April 2007 originally listed for $43m, dropped to $40m in August 2007, then $36m in January 2010, back up to $40m last August. They should take a hint that either nobody wants the house or it’s wayyyyyyy overpriced.

Hmm. So would this be considered a tear-down? I would certainly think so. I think the biggest testament to the insanity of this home is the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. Let’s call it what it is – a hotel. It actually looks like a European hotel, maybe 3.5 stars. The front of the place looks like the Portofino Bay hotel in Orlando. Come on, it has dual benches flanking the driveway for god’s sake. The only things saving this home from being a complete failure is the foyer, the pool area and the view.

How much would the land go for? The lot is huge. I’m gonna guess around $20 million.

Keep the pool and tear down the rest. The front looks like the entrance to mid-level hotel one would find in Phoenix. Some of the interior spaces are impressive, and the scale is nice, but they need major overhauling? Surely 33 bedrooms and 41 bathrooms is a typo! That’s just…well, stupid.

I agree, keep the pool and demo the rest of this house.
I can’t begin to even figure out how you would fix this mess.

33 bedrooms and 41 bathrooms? Really?
Was this commissioned by someone that owned hotels?
