This newly listed, newly built 19-room mansion is located at 15 Arrowhead Lane in Saddle River, NJ. It boasts 6 bedrooms, 7 full and 2 half bathrooms, 2-story foyer with floating curved staircase, formal living and dining rooms, 2-story great room with floor-to-ceiling windows, marble floors throughout, gourmet kitchen, family room, cherry wood library with custom built-ins and coffered ceiling, recreation room with custom bar, billiards room, custom home theater, wine cellar, large patio, swimming pool with spa and  a 3-car garage. It is listed at $7,395,000. I do not like some of the detailing in the foyer and great room and the family room is just…..UGLY.

If it isn’t huge, open and empty, it’s low, dull and cramped. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Exterior is the typical bloated New Jersey exterior. Only decent room is the master bedroom. Yuck all the way around.

I like the study and kitchen. after the terrible foyer and great room, the rest of the house didn’t look so bad. I don’t like the master bedroom, but the bathroom is ok.

It would be a pretty good price if the house was less… gross?

I wonder how much it would cost to simplify some of the rooms.

Agree with Daniel all the way………..completely forgettable, and absolutely run-of-the-mill. BLAH, and totally common.

    NO NO NO NO!!!
Kenny, if I wake up in the middle of the night in a cold-sweat from a nightmare with this house in it, I’m holding you responsible.

This is just terrible. Worst offenses:

-the stairs to the basement that are not situated under the stairs to the second floor, but rather are just floating out there by themselves, like a pit in the ground
-that AWFUL 2-story living room or family room or whatever it is. I’d call it the vomit room.
-that TERRIBLE facade! You know, you get generic blobs like this all over the country, but I’m sorry, I feel like NJ is particularly guilty of facade atrocities like this. They’re EVERYWHERE in Jersey. For every beautiful, tastefully designed manor home in that state, there are TWENTY of these, possibly more.

The only appealing area in this home to me is the home theater, although the wall murals cross the threshold between interesting and cheesy. Love the “stars” on the ceiling though.

OK, one more teeny tiny rant: I can’t STAND when real estate listings not-so-subtly place a flashy car in the driveway right in front of the damn house. I don’t care if it belongs to the seller or the real estate agent, but it’s just plain OBNOXIOUS.

Agreed…that’s so cheesy. Agents are trying to sell a lifestyle as much as a house, but it’s still obnoxious.

I didn’t look closely at the car in the pic. I assumed it was a Camaro based on the house itself.

haha, yeah I would’ve expected that too, based on the home, but I’m a bit of a car-spotter, and this one is actually a current-model Porsche 911 Carrera. So in that case, maybe it belongs to the agent.

Interestingly enough there is an almost identical house (interior wise) on sale in Upper Saddle River:
