Nope, she bought it. She rented a home in Alpine, NJ though.

My apologies, I was wrong, she did lease it.

I want to make a crass comment about the library being just as empty when Britney occupied the place, but I don’t know whether she’s a reader or not.

The central courtyard is nice, but that’s the only thing I really like. The rest of the house is rather uninteresting.

Grrrowler love your comment, I agree the house doesn’t really stand out. Just another mansion that a celeb lived in where owners are trying to take advantage of that factoid.

Good luck getting the smell of Newport Lights, Cheetos and mediocrity out of this place. For some reason, I really hate this place architecturally. Despise it.

As much of a dullard Britney is, I had the biggest crush on her in the 90’s and I still would.
If K-Fed can get with her I am sure any many can…

Anyway, on to the house, it is not bad and seems to be priced fairly.

Who rented/owned this place should have no impact on its eventual selling price…at least not when that person is Britney Spears.

The interior isn’t bad I guess, but the library is too small to be a 2-story affair, and the windows in there are TINY, it makes it feel like those slits in the turrets of castles that archers shoot arrows out of. That courtyard is nice, but the front elevation is just plain boring. No thanks.

Ok, this is a random, totally not related to anything question, but it bugs me every time I post. What’s the deal with the messed up “time posted” reading? Whenever I post a comment, it says I did it four hours later than I did. Like my previous comment was posted at 10:03 pm but it says 2:03 am the following day…what gives?

Not only did she probably never have any books in that library, which is in the turret, which is why it has small windows and reminds you of a castle turret / tower.

But… I can only imagine the bottles of mer-LOT, pi-NOT gri-gio and ch-A-bliss she had in that wine cellar.

I did realize that, but that styling cue just doesn’t work in this home. The home is NOT built in a castle style overall, so the turret is stupid. If they were dead-set on that particular shape in that room, fine, but put in some decent windows.
