Hey guys. Well, we are all well aware by now that not every house out there is drop dead gorgeous. There are some extremely hideous, grotesque, vomit-inducing, ghastly, “what in the world where they thinking?!” homes. I’ve showcased quite a few homes that fit into those categories and you all absolutely loved to comment on them. So now it’s your job to pick the worst home out of all of them! Let us know why you chose the one you did! If you have any more suggestions for homes that you think are the “most hideous”, then let us know!

I was going to go with #5 until I saw #7 & it trumped everything. #5 might look fine from the front (dead-on) but when you look at the side view, you think, “What the hell was this architect smoking?” Maybe the owner designed it himself!” (just the facade) Now that I think about it, #7 was just all the bric-a-brac. So I changed my mind again:

    #5 it is!

None of these. The worse home I’ve ever seen on this site where those two massive houses here in Texas that looked like trailer homes when seen from above. They were like 35,000 and 60,000 square feet if I remember correctly, built right next to each other in an open field basically. I believe at one point they were both mental institutions or something.

Fantastic post! I loved going back to see what I thought of each home. With that said, it is EXTREMELY hard to pick the crappiest one. If any of these homes had names, I think “Casa Putrefaction” would be the most appropriate. But I think house #8 is the worst one. Built in 2002 and it looks like that? $8 million asking price (no wonder its been on the market for 562 days and counting)?

#1 has the worst interior ever, #4 has the worst location this side of next to a Japanese nuclear power plant, #7 has the worst , I don’t know what to call the exterior decorations, and #8 has a listing agent that is hoping to convert the sale of the property into a TV reality show. I have a headache just thinking about them.

little do you know the insane drama and lengths the reality has gone through to try to sell this house…she works like you’ve never seen…abandoned animals in the house, FBI garbage after the owner stripped it clean of even door knobs, environmental litigation over the illegal swamp..and that’s just a drop in the bucket. That reality show would have had much more integrity than the Bachelor!! I know that all of these posts are humorous–I am with you on most of it–but the listing agent is the hardest working realtor I have ever met so I am inclined to defend her. With a little TLC and a few bucks, I guarantee I can whip this puppy into an astounding estate!!

Are you a builder, and how did you get direct knowledge of the realtor.

Easily Alpine New Jersey. It looks like it was done in the 80’s and was over done. The raised Scarface tub and all of that wasted Marble could have done it much better but the White Castle design on the exterior is the biggest turn off.

I don’t hate #4! It doesn’t look that bad from the front. Symmetrical and not to outlandish.

Gotta be #5. What a waste of an amazing lot! Far too many columns.

I dont find number 4 that bad aside from the location/train tracks. Oh well my vote goes to number 3.

The only thing is, if you have small children do they play in the front yard with the train or the back yard with the high power electric lines. The only positive is you won’t have to save for a college fund.

Thank you for finally admitting that some (a lot) of these huge houses are downright ugly!

1 and 7. 1 because of the hideous green chandeliers for starters and 7 because of everything interior-wise. Exterior lacks curb appeal as well.

On second thought, 3 and 7 are worse than 1.

I think they are all great candidates for the ‘Crappie Award’ but seeing this is open to international contestants there’s one i want to research that is in CN (?) that has always stuck in my mind as a true “WTF?” moment. I’ll take a look for it tonight and see if can find it.

Oh man… #3 is absolutely the worst!

Off of this menu, #3 is the worst. It has no redeeming features. However, I think Château d’Or, in Beverly Hills, is the worst of the worst.

After much deliberation, I am going to have to go with #1 and #7 with #1 slightly edging out #7.
That house is just so damn hideous.

I remember there being a home on this site in Texas I believe, and it was right on the road and it had like 15 massive turrets just on the facade…EW!!!!!!!!!

P.s-living only 15 minutes away from 50 cent’s mansion in Farmington, CT helps me give an honorable mention, the facade and interior are pretty bad in my opinion, the back and landscaping are decent though..

hm well im gonna say that its a tie between #1 or #7. #2 doesnt even belong on this list because its not hideous…. i mean to each their own but look at some of the bad examples and compare them to this home and this one is nice its just dark. #4 is pretty bad but at least its got some cool cars out front to that helps it out. they’re all pretty bad lol (minus #2).
