I guess “replica” has a new definition.

This is not even remotely close to being like the White House.
There is a car dealer in the town where my parents live that has basically this exact house, down to the setting.
I almost mistook this house for his except he has his flipped around on his lot with the rear having the elevation.

This is garbage. Talk about kitsch. Bulldoze it and turn it into a mini-mall. Can’t get more American than that.

Sheesh, delusions of grandeur much? Negative adjectives worthy of this monstrosity escape me.

Maybe I’m alone in my opinion, but I think that it’s cool. It might be ugly and stupid to most people, especially those who live in that neighborhood, but I think it’s interesting that someone would try to replicate on a smaller scale the white house.

Just so you guys know, there is also another one in an upscale Dallas neighborhood, next door to Dirk Nowitzki’s house.
The address is 10777 Strait Ln, Dallas, TX 75229

I know that floorplan/house. I’ve got (internet)pictures of that house on my laptop.
Years ago I used to love that house and design. My dreamhome was based on that (with different floorplans designed by me). But after a while it just looks tacky. I’m still updating my floorplans when/where needed but it’s a whole other style now. But it still has the shape of it (portico, the balcony at the back, number of windows etc.).

But ontopic: this house looks bad. Especially the back (look at second floor window at the balcony) A house with the size of the real White House is probably not possible to replicate. You’ll have to deal with proportions, and other things Ben said.

The White House is like 50,000 square-feet, a true WH replica would be probably a $40 or $50 million home AT LEAST. I didn’t know people actually built cheap imitations of famous homes. WHY WOULD ANYONE DO THIS? I CAN understand making a home that is BASED off of a famous building, but don’t do a “replica” unless you’re doing a pretty identical copy in terms of design, cost, materials, etc…but say a quality home BASED off of Monticello, or Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, or even the White House, I can understand if that is your thing.

I discovered this house while driving through the neighborhood. Someone who was presumably the owner was carrying a bag of trash out the front door. Totally unrealistic. The real White House the trash only goes out every four years. Har.
