Seems like a nice area and looks like a nice place, but it’s 100 feet away from the railroad tracks. No thanks, especially for the asking price. Give me a condo on Lakeshore any day over this.

This is an amazing house. I love the first picture. The interior is (mostly) very nice too. The wood in the bathroom is maybe a bit to much, was it just a bit less it would have been better. The basketball court could go, I would’ve preferred a nice entertaining space.

I don’t know about the location. The railroad tracks is a real bad thing (don’t know how much that’s is being used though…). All the houses there look good but also very VERY close together. It does give the right “urban” feel to it though.

It is expensive, but it screams quality. So if you like the style of the house and the neighbourhood, I think it’s a great one.

Those are the metra tracks, a much quieter train, and this is a major city where it’s pretty common to have el tracks and train trans and nosey streets alll around multi-million dollar homes…. go to Montana

I’m with you on this one, Venom!, it doesn’t hurt my eyes at all, and the price is right… just loan me a few bucks and I’ll take it!!! But WHAT is that room in picture 13? hmmm.

I like most of it. The outside is a great style for a townhouse, even a stand-alone one. Some of the furniture isn’t my style, and I don’t care for the master bath, but overall it seems like a very nice, and livable, house.

I totally dig this house. It has such presence on the street. The back faces south, so it gets lots of sun. Three car off street garage parking. Its warm, spacious, beautifully appointed with a totally liveable scale. I can’t comment on the price as I don’t know the area, but it would appear to be rational.

    Love. It.

The architect on this was really smart to turn the front toward Hermitage St. It gives the place a real feel of a stand alone urban mansion. I really like the architectural style. Anyone know how to describe this style? I think it is kind of federalist chateau style. Like the field beside the house. Is it a park or something?

Google Maps says it’s “Chi Che Wang Park”. But on streetview is looks (to me) like a very boring park.

But somehow (looking at the neighbourhood) I think that’s going to be fulls of houses someday.

The sellers might want to go on Zillow to see what the estimate of the house’s worth it. 😉
