Here is a list of the Top 10 most expensive homes in the Phoenix metro area.

From AZCENTRAL- Homeowners include local and national businesspeople and sports moguls. Rankings are based on the Maricopa County Assessor’s full-cash value of the properties in 2010. Like most homes in the region, values of these luxury estates also declined last year.

The Sussman house definitely looks sick from the aerial shots. Wonder what the interior is like. The other 9 are just basic mansions.

House #6 (The Hormel house) is for sale. Looks like crap on the inside though. Very reminiscent of a convention center.

I love house #1. Anyone have any additional pictures?

Hey Daniel, as someone whose opinions I respect, tell me what you think of this house so far. Kenny did a post on it in like March 2009 and it’s just about done.

Eh. Granted it isn’t completed with landscaping, but to me it looks very odd. The exterior is extremely busy and bunched up looking, with a ridiculous array of window sizes and shapes. All in all, it looks like the person building it flipped through a home builder’s catalog and said “Oh, that looks nice, I want that”, except he/she said that for 20 different homes. It all looks jarring in my opinion. Same goes for the rear. How many different arched windows (size and shape) can one house have? Apparently, not enough…

I live in Phoenix, and I’ve never seen any additional pictures of house #1. I have some friends who have been in it, and I guess the owners were very odd about people walking on their floors (I believe the owners were hosting a party though…). Not sure why one would have a house like this if one didn’t want to show it off!

Ha! I was furiously Googling as much info as I could about it, going as far as searching the Maricopa County public records. Apparently, the home is listed under Silco Enterprises LLC, which is great, but Maricopa County isn’t like Florida in that it doesn’t show Notices of Commencement (NOC). In Florida, all you have to do is look up a NOC and it usually lists the general contractor, who usually has a website with photos. No luck here 🙁

I don’t recall any contractor signs when the house was under construction several years ago. There was an interior desinger’s sign though. I only recall a phone number with a NYC area. I didn’t recognize the designer at the time. It is an awesome house, and I’d love to see more of it. And BTW, a couple of the others on the list are for sale too. #10 is at least one other.

I would need a house like these to want to live in Phoenix.
No offense, its just not my city. I could live in Vegas.

Kitchell Construction built the Sussman’s home. They are a large commercial GC but have a custom residential division. They won’t build anything less than $10,000,000. I saw a picture of the Sussman’s house in their office. No interiors though.
