This newly constructed Stone and Stucco mansion is located at 5 Dupont Court in “Dupont Estates” in Greenvale, NY. It is situated on over 5 acres of land. It boasts a motor court, porte-cochere, 6 bedrooms, 11 full and 4 half bathrooms, 10 foot ceilings, crown molding and hardwood floors throughout, solid mahogany doors, full finished basement, smart system, koi pond, swimming pool with spa and much more. It is listed at $11,500,000. I myself find the interior BORING with no cohesive style.

Eh. Looks like a tract home with some nice details sprinkled in. Overall, the rooms look smaller than they should be. Terrible kitchen. Outside is ugly. Price is ridiculous.

LOL…..ONLY you, Dan, would call this house a “tract home with small rooms (from photos ONLY no less!), a terrible kitchen with an ugly exterior (!?!?!?). The only thing I agree with you is the price, however it is worth at least half of that due to it’s over 5 acres of land, proximity to the famed Glen Cove, and naturally Manhattan.

The kitchen is beautifully unique and is in inarguably lovely keeping with it’s BEAUTIFUL FRENCH (if not thoroughly traditional & historically accurate) exterior which cannot be considred even remotely “ugly”……decidedly different, creative, unusual, yes, but not ugly)

And Kenny….I agree with you that the interior is too boring right now, but ya’ gotta’ remember that this is a very recently finished home built on spec, so it’s devoid of almost all color, depth, flavor and all else that goes with a brand new, undecorated home. As far “no cohesive style” is concerned, I disagree with you almost completely…..alllll the beautiful mouldings, woodwork, cabinetry, stonework, windows, formal stair railings, and the BEAUTIFUL KITCHEN (grrrrrr!) etc., etc., lend the house an unmistakably French flair, don’t ya’ think? I (admittedly surprisingly) think it’s really beautiful.

Unusual and ugly. It’s an ugly house Barney. Also, the grass needs to be cut and some trees need to be planted. For the asking price you can do a lot better in the northeast.

You know Dan, there are not two more people PERFECT for a new reality show called “The Real Fans of Homes of the Rich” !!

You & I would make EVERY last one a’ those nauseating bitches look like the AMATEURS they are when it came to yet another “THROW DOWN”, after offering our commentaries with every house that Kenny posts.

You had me at ‘motorcourt,’ but I dumped you at ‘iron scrollwork banisters’.

I like the porte-cochere… I’m used to calling them a breeze-way… but porte-cochere sounds so much better.
    I like the exterior.
    11 bathrooms for a 6 bedroom house?

    I like it.
The price seems high though, and Im not a big fan of the exterior stonework.

Sorry Barney, but this place is ugly. To give the house the benefit of a doubt, whoever they hired to photograph the place had no idea what he/she was doing. All the pics are full of bad lighting, bad angles, and a terrible sense of composition. Better pics would definitely help since there are some nice details.

This place is no more French than my Australian Shepard. It’s a banal interpretation of French designed to appeal to an overly wide audience, which is ludicrous since someone spending $11,000,000 for a house will hopefully want something more than bland and middle-of-the-road. As much as I love wood floors, I hate these. They are simultaneously too dark and too shiny. The diamond shape on the kitchen cabinets is a totally superfluous detail, and actually detracts from the look of the room. Plus, the color of the cabinets is just wrong.

The exterior should have used less stone, or a lot more. The current combo of stucco and stone just looks odd.

The north Long Island location isn’t bad, but I’m not a big fan of Great Neck, which is spitting distance from here. There are some beautiful houses nearby, but this doesn’t rank amongst them.

Way overwrought exterior, boring interior with boring layout. Being a new build, I guess you’re supposed to bring your own style, but for $11 mil shouldn’t they throw some in with the purchase price?
