These 3 mansions are currently under construction in South Florida. Thanks to Daniel for the tips!

Mansion #1 – Picture #1 – It is located a 130 W. Coconut Palm Road in the Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club in Boca Raton, FL. The old home was purchased in 2009 for $4.535 million and torn down. The new home is being built by Seppala Corporation.

Mansion #2 – Picture #2 – It is located at 1075 Hillsboro Mile in Hillsboro Beach, FL. The current owner tore down his/her old home and is replacing it with this. Construction does seem to have been halted though.

Mansion #3 – Pictures #3,4 – This 26,000+ square foot mega mansion is located at 935 Hillsboro Mile, aka Playa Vista Isle, in Hillsboro Beach, FL. The current owner bulldozed the former home and are now building this behemoth designed by Randall Stofft.

    1) I was surprised that this home wasn’t going to blossom into the oh-so-typical S. Florida Mediterranean. I like the nods to Prairie-Style and contemporary architecture. I estimate the home will be at least 15,000 sq ft, probably closer to 20,000. Google Maps has been updated and you can see the home really uses up all of the land.

    2) I drove by yesterday, and was happy to see a couple of work trucks on the property. This place really surprised, as I had not driven by in a month or so, and all of sudden this new structure is standing there. Almost certainly will be a Mediterranean Style home. The old home was built in the 1950s and was just over 9,000 sq ft. I estimate the new home to be at least double that.

    3) Well this home also surprised me. I was astonished to see the old home demolished (it was old and damaged from Hurricane Wilma, but they did do some major repairs to the home). The new one is gigantic, and I think the 26K sq ft mentioned in the article is a little low. The home is three full stories and includes a three-story detached guest house. A monster of a home. It looks like it will either be a Mediterranean or even a French-inspired home, considering it has a flat roof. It really reminds me of Versailles (in Windermere). The only drawback is its close vicinity to A1A, more so than other oceanfront homes. I can’t wait to see it finished. On a side note, the owner also owns the 160′ yacht Newvida (former Gallant Lady). The yacht is frequently docked in front of the house. I wonder if the owners use it as their temporary residence. Pics here:

Also, please forgive me for the mediocre picture quality. I’m pretty sure the Royal Palm guard was following me, while the homes on Hillsboro Mile were snapped at 35 MPH 😀

Also, if you check out the StreetView, you can see that the new home is also using every last foot of the lot. I actually really liked the entrance to old home. It was a very 1980s home, but still nice:

The aerial of the new home is also available on Google Maps.

    Hey Kenny,

Great blog. Sorry about posting this here, but why no more updates on teen cribs. I realize that most people just use it to sell their homes, but I love the homes featured on it and some homes really are just for the family. Can you do some more teen cribs homes please.
