An odd house to say the least…

Exterior is one of the coldest I have ever seen. Brrrrrr!
Interior is a mix of not so bad and what were they thinking. The staircase looks like it came from an Escher drawing. While I don’t mind the living room, I think the fireplace location is completely wrong. A lot of the other rooms look very low, and the ceiling in the family room looks like an afterthought (why does it jut out like that…shouldn’t it be recessed?).

Ok. Someone has to tell me this: Why do designers love to put the flat screen TV over the fireplace? Whats up with that? Did you notice that? I’m not a big TV person (I don’t even get cable) so I don’t understand.

When I DO watch a movie, I want all extraneous lighting done away with. Having a blazing fire just below the TV would only serve as a serious distraction. Am I wrong?

As for this house…I don’t think I like it. I’m not sure what it is. Perhaps its because its trying to be something its not. The great hall/ entry with the asymmetrical staircase throws me. Strange room shapes, especially on homes purported to be of a style, also throw me. The paint color scheme reminds me of bile yellow.

I dunno. I agree with Daniel about the exterior. Very uninviting.

I do agree with your dislike of TVs above fireplaces, but I’d also point out that VERY few people actually light their fireplaces…nowadays it’s more of a stylistic element than anything else, or at least that how it seems to me.

To the prospective sellers in case they are firm on the price: “Dream on, baby!”

I’m not impressed with this…very cold and impersonal as Daniel said, and that price is ridiculous.

I could only find a couple little things here and there that were pleasant to me…the hardwoods, the window design in that two-story living room (although not the layout or floor). Other than that I don’t like it.

Tear it down and use the materials to build something worth looking at/living in.
