For the price, I’d much rather live on Chicago’s North Shore…between Winnetka and Lake Forest. The home ain’t bad. A little too feminine in some rooms for me, though. The kitchen doesn’t belong in this house – too rustic. I’d rather have a spacious home theater or air-conditioned/heated garage rather than a bowling alley.

    I like it!

(yeah, I know it’s short but it covers it all)

Let’s see…the exterior’s bland and boring, the decorating is all over the place, the kitchen looks too small for a home this size…there’s just nothing about this house that stands out in a positive way to my eyes. And I’m not overly familiar with what’s hot and what’s not in suburban Chicago real estate, but that price seems out of line for what you’re getting and where it’s located.

Well i LOVE the front facade, the curved brick, the door molding, the windows, balcony.. it all works together beautifully i think. Kitchen is nice too, but DEF doesn’t belong in this house. That about it ha.

holy crap…that wine cellar is almost as big as my garage…furniture is dated as far as I’m concerned but I do love the bowling alley…

Yet another Illinois property that will stay unsold for a long time – unless the price is drastically cut. Don’t forget that properties in the Cook County portion of Hinsdale carry a transfer tax when sold which does push their price up and above what is listed. Additionally, some cities (not 100% sure about Hinsdale) have their own additional transfer tax. Bordering Chicago, too, does not help. This place is losing jobs and companies by the day as is the rest of IL.

Good luck seeing this one sold! My guess is that it will end up like the Middle Eastern car-park monstrosity called “Villa Taj” which isn;t all that far from this place, BTW!

God that kitchen is ugly. Of course taste is subjective but that floor just detracts and is so dirty looking.

    Wow,

I am looking at all these negative comments from people that couldn’t afford to take a pee on the yard of this house. BTW Hinsdale is beautiful, and the price is certainly not out of line at all for the town. Decorating is subjective, but this is a beautiful house. Illinois losing jobs? Illinois was just ranked as the best place to make a living when factors such as income and cost of living are factored.
