Just wanted to point out, though I know most of us already know this, the Hagadone mansion is the one that won the 2009 Robb Report Ultimate Home.

The Hagadone house always amazed me. It’s almost as if it was designed to confuse anyone looking at it. If I were to build a super-contemporary home, Guy Dreier is the only man on my list of architects. The man is brilliant.

The French castle is certainly unique, but not for me.

The South African home is weird with its HUGE open spaces and low ceilings. Every single room needs to have the ceiling raised 3-4 feet.

Hey Daniel – what do you think of this place.

Home is huge in person, looks nice from the outside… thoughts?

Not bad. A little overpowering on the inside with the area rugs, but overall it’s nice. The furnishings actually look a little grandma-ish, especially the home theater with the individual La-Z-Boys. Outside architecture is also nice, but couple it with the landscaping and I think it is solemn looking. The brown grass, the weedy front yard…it’s not what I’m use to down here in South Florida.

After going on the website for the South African house and waiting forever…………………for the pics to load. I do not think I could live in South Africa. My life is not long enough.

You don’t think it would be neat to BBQ in the back yard and attract a pride of Lions?

*I like the Stone Mansion the more I see it, I like how it is finished but ready for someone to put there own mark on it

*Its important to note they have utilized the old french castle and not torn it down! I really appreciate the design etc, but its not for me

*The rusty nail link was too much to deal with

*The south african mansion is roughly 6.5mil USD?? I cant do math and I didn’t go to a conversion site
