I did a post on this home back when it was first being built. Well, the home is now completed. It is located at 8730 Oak Beach Drive in Commerce, MI and is situated on a private 2 acre peninsula with 400 feet of water frontage. The 13,600 square foot mansion boasts 6 bedrooms, 7 full and 2 half bathrooms, heated marble and walnut floors, 2-story great room with 2 way fireplace, 7 total fireplaces, library, gourmet kitchen, home theater, wine cellar, gym, music room, bonus room, swimming pool and a 4-car garage. It is listed at $5,500,000.

I don’t know whether I like it or not. Direct location is great (lake
). The garden needs some work (off course).
And I don’t like those big fences around pools. It’s ugly.
(Yeah I know it’s for safety but I still don’t like it)
Wow I love the location and the views from the pool area!
I dont know whether I love or hate the exterior? It looks like a converted castle or something and the bricks make it look quite cold and uninviting but it has some great selling points.
Totally agree.
Pass.
Cold and boring on the outside. Where are the interior pics?
No…just, no. It’s the masculine counterpart to Cinderella’s castle at Disneyland, but not as detailed or well executed.
Architectural diarrhea…on a budget.
Well i for one think this home is gorgeous! I love the stonework and i especially like the facade of the rear. Pool area is lacking a little but im sure once they move in and put a few touches here and there it will all come together. Im not quite sure that id pay that much for it but it is without a doubt a beautiful home.. Areas really nice too [pretty close to where i live
]. Interior pics would be nice… ill definitely have to go for a drive and check this place out soon!
“there are many large homes in the area”
Really?Where exactly????
Everywhere in the lakes area has large homes… Commerce, West Bloomfield, Bloomfield… Definitely one of the nicer areas around Detroit.
Nick, are you a moron?
Was that a serious question?
Venom, are you an asshole?
Next time be more specific, when you use the word “area”, because the majority of the readers don’t live in the state with the worst unemployment, nor in the suburbs of one of the most corrupted and dangerous cities (Detroit).
So, it was a serious question.
If I am a moron, you’re a big asshole, PERIOD.
Ummmm, Nick……you’re really not that blindly prejudiced, uneducated & unsophisticated as to think that the ENTIRE lower peninsula of Michigan is nothing but an extension of the WORST of Detroit, are you?? I’m sure you’re not………have you ever been to Oakland county, where some of the most beautiful homes in the country are?
Surely you can’t mean what you’re implying
So confirmed, you are a moron.
